With temperatures in the 60's and a damp track Sammy Swindell becomes the only three time winner of the front row challenge at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloose Ia.
Brad Sweet came away with fast time and a new track record of 15.804 Swindell was right in Sweets rear pocket with a 15.135 so you knew these two guys would be right up front. Sweet driving for Joey Saldana did not show as drop off in performance for the red bull racing team as he qualified on the front row beside Swindell.
Terry McCarl as really put together an entertaining event for winged sprint cars just before the nationals. From the foot race by the drivers on the front straightaway for a sprint car rear end to the King of the Hill two car at a time elimination racing for starting position for the a-main this is a fun time to be had for all.
