If you have never gotten the chance to meet the owner of Thunder Hill Speedway here is your chance. The Conkwright family took over the track in 2010 and have not slowed down since the day they bought the facility.
Every time I go to the track something new has a new coat of paint, or has been revitalized, right from the track itself to the buildings.
Along with this turn around racers and car owners as well as the race fans are starting to see these people are for real and mean business, so in turn they are coming back. The excitement is coming back at the Hill.
IMCA racing was also introduced to the track and I for one think the combination is a winning effort for everyone. The races Saturday were good from the Street Stocks to the IMCA Mods.
With the extra wide racing surface on the 3/8s mile track their is plenty of room for 4 or 5 wide racing, and it happens often during the races. Enjoy.
