OK.. So Indy is here. And talking back and forth with Ray I am trying to piece this together. The rear engined Lotus spelled the end of the grand old front engined roadsters at Indy. Shortly thereafter it seems roadster style supers were showing up on the dirt tracks. Were these retired Indy roadsters that were given a second lease on life? When Jackie Howerton came back to Tulsa to give us all a thrill in 73 (?) he was driving a Zink roadster. Could that possibly be a car that Zink won Indy with in 1956 or 1957??
