Oklahoman Kevin Bayer takes home the loot at West Siloam!
Longtime micro-sprint racer and occasional midget car racer Kevin Bayer took home $1100 Saturday night after beating 14 cars to the checkered flag in his Southside Mowers, Eco-Tech powered Spike. Bayer slipped by Matt Sherrell on the last lap to get the win and that brought the large crowd to its feet in excitement! Following Bayer and Sherrell was Christopher Bell in third, Matt Johnson all the way from fourteenth to fourth, and Eric Fenton in fifth.
The K.M.K. Transportation – Southern Open Wheel Series next stand-alone event will be at Creek County Speedway on Sat. May 21st. Again, the main event will pay $2000 to win if the front row challenge is taken and won, with $1000 guaranteed to the winner, along with $140 to show up! The $100 bonus to the highest finishing Eco-Tech will still be in place along with $100 to the winner of Melmark Pipe and Supply heat 2.
We will also be supporting the U.S.A.C. Mopar Midget Series at Dodge City Raceway Park on April 22-23 and also the Lucas Oil Powri Midget Series at Valley Speedway on April 29th and Lucas Oil Speedway on April 30th.
The K.M.K. Transportation – Southern Open Wheel Series would like to thank Melmark Pipe and Supply, Rod End Supply, Oklahoma Pipe Sales, Doyle Ent., Mud-X, and Ken's Automotive for their continued support.
