Is it not wonderful about computers. Many long years after my father retired from racing and passed away the truth about why he retired has come out. In the last two month of researching for the last few pages for a long overdue book some amazing truths have surfaced. First my father always said that he was just getting too old. Now I should have known that to be wrong with his other hobbies. Have you ever road shotgun coyote hunting with a race car driver when spring is getting near, it can be wild.
Now for a few of some of the interesting facts. My Dad and us the family went to the races and the owner and car failed to show. Dad was able to pick up a ride only because the regular driver was injured at work. Dad called his car owner the next week, he said there was engine problems. Yet he did not call. Truth that has shown itself was that he was at another race with someone driving under Dads name. Whoever signed the driver in used some wrong information. That is where the first clue showed itself. This happened more a few times, but after the first time the other drivers used their real name. This was done over several years including a year that Dad won a championship for this _____ owner. I think his reason was that he found out from some of the other drivers that he had raced with over the years. When one races in many states you have a lot information to draw from. So you back stabbing owners and drivers need to look backwards THE TRUTH IS HARD TO HIDE in the day of the computer.
If you would like to know who some of people are there are a few people out there who know who I am. I will tell you who some of the back stabbers were. Most are to my knowledge are still breathing. So I am on my second hand counting. Was not the info I was looking for but you never knows.
