Just read in the newspaper of the passing of Lawton Racer Randy Creagle , he ran Hobby Stocks then moved up to Late Models when they first started them at Lawton Speedway and if I remember correctly he workded for Fox Radiator as well back then. He ran in the late 70's and early 80's at Lawton.

Not sure if he ever won a Champioship at Lawton???

Mike M. or Ken Mckay. might remember him as well.

Funeral for Randy Creagle, 57, Lawton, will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Antwine officiating.

Randy passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, in Lawton.

Randy was born June 2, 1953, in San Antonio, to Bill and Billie Mae Cates Creagle. The family moved to Lawton when he was a baby. He grew up in Lawton, where he attended school and graduated from Lawton High School in 1972. He married Kay Lowe on Dec. 20, 1974, in Lawton. Randy worked for Fox Radiator Shop as a radiator repairman before working for civil service at Fort Sill. He later owned and operated Lawton Radiator Shop for 15 years. He was a racecar driver and drove factory stocks, late models, and IMCA modifieds at Lawton Speedway for many years, winning many trophies and awards. He enjoyed motor cycling and loved to go fishing at his boathouse at Lake Ellsworth. He liked hanging out at his garage working on cars and visiting with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kay, of the home; two daughters: Stephanie Creagle, of Indiahoma; and Melissa Creagle, of Lawton; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Michael Irwin, Waxahatchie, Texas; his grandsons: Dylan Creagle, Gage Creagle, and Michael Creagle; his niece, Katerri Caldwell; his nephew, Michael Irwin; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
