And here's the 'after the rain' update for Cowtown's big 9/11/01 Memorial Event, as of 5pm on Wednesday night:

ALL IS AS PLANNED AS SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY NIGHT.

The track and pits are draining and the forecast for the next 72 hours looks good for continued drying and grooming.

Here's the latest NOAA forecast:

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 94. South wind around 5 mph.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. South wind around 5 mph.

Gates open at 5pm, hot laps at 6:30pm and at 7pm, 7 classes of racing and the 9/11/01 Memorial Tribute will take place.

It's shaping up to be a good night for racing tonight, with cooler temperatures and there is a 30% of isolated t-storms...but then, when isn't there.

Breeze will be out of the south (to your back in the stands), and here's the current forecast for race time at 7pm tonight:

88°F, 30% Isolated T-Storms, Wind From SSE at 6 mph.

Online tickets available through 4pm at http://www.CowtownSpeedway.com and there is no extra charge for tickets purchased at the track website.

Have a safe Patriot Day and if your plans include Cowtown Speedway, you'll be in for a night of reflection and patriotism with the 9-11-01 Memorial, 7 classes of racing and professional fireworks display.
