I had worked and worked for five weeks as much as I could to get this car ready to run the 12th. Just as I was to try to get this car out for hot laps, we had problems. It just got worse from there, with the final blow being the in-out box giving up before I even got to turn a wheel. I have had no strong desire to build this car for myself since I was so busy. But the way my mind works, I could build it for this show. The car is built, needing finishing touches, but I was hoping to get it out there that night. The makin's for a sweet little car.

I thought I was to get the car before the venue.

I went to the infield before the races and saw all the cars, they looked great. I went over there to see the #2 and boy it looked good, sorry you didn't get her to run. Thank you for all your effort in getting the car together for the show, I know Alice and the boys appreciated it.

I hammered on the car right up until the last minute. I had to trick myself into thinking I could get it done by May 16th. Turned out the car never left the driveway until 2 hours before this photo was taken.Haven't even gotten to take one ride in it yet. Man it sounds good!

Time and help were short, determination was long. Car got built. Sorry we never got to hook up Allen.
