Temperatures predicted for Friday are expected to be in the 20's, and there is a good possibility of flurries and/or showers. Owners and management decided to make an early call out of respect for the drivers, crews and fans who would have attended the races.
"Freezing temperatures can damage equipment and we didn't want to force a driver to take that chance" said Jon Schwartz, track owner. "We also don't expect our fans to sit through a show they can't enjoy because of the weather, so we rescheduled it early to give them plenty of notice to make other plans."
