Chris Henigan of Marshall, Texas has won the last 2 Ark-La-Tex Modified features. In his last 4 races, he has those 2 wins along with a win at Sabine and a runner-up at Texarkana.

Is he peaking at the right time? Earlier in the year, he was not running good at all -- not even at Ark-La-Tex!

Is Win-again-Henigan going to stay on his roll or will we have a challenger for that $1000 TONIGHT? It wasn't a walk-off either night for Chris. Last week, he passed Timothy Culp on a restart using the bottom which wasn't the fast way around at that point and took the lead. When he went to the bottom again to pass a lapped car, Culp saw his chance to retake the lead. Unfortunately, the lapped car -- Dee Williams -- caught the wall and wrecked hard and flipped over on it's roof. Culp couldn't avoid him and wrecked hard against the wall too. Both drivers were OK and I saw Culp racing the Mod at Champion last night. Finished 6th I think and he won the Limited Mods driving the Beckham Racing #5A.

The week before, Henigan didn't even take the lead until 2 laps to go when EVERY GROOVE was a fast way around the track. He started 9th and made the winning move with a 3-wide pass in a caution-free 20 lap feature! Michael Knighten and Jon 'Catman' Mitchell finished 2nd and 3rd.
