Racing TONIGHT and the weather is AWESOME!!! $3000 to win Mods and $1000 to win Limited Mods on Friday and $5000 to win Mods with $1500 to win Limited Mods on Saturday!!!
This year, your best 20 races will count as your points total at the end of the year. No hunt, no regions for the Southern Series. There are 29 races scheduled but you don't have to make them all to compete for the title. Just 20 of them.
Independent one-night shows in Houston!!! Check it out.....

$10 per car to park with FREE grandstand tickets available for THIS Friday and Saturday night's USMTS races at HRP and THAT's an incredible bargain for THIS SHOW!!!
Simply call
281-383-7223 (281-383-RACE!) and your tickets for Houston Raceway
Park's 3rd Annual USMTS Texas Winter Nationals for FRIDAY, Feb 19th and
SATURDAY, Feb 20th will be waiting at the box office for you and your
party! Doesn't get much easier than that. (Thursday costs
$15 for the grandstand with FREE parking -- don't know why but that's
the deal for Thursday....)
If you happen to have tickets that
you picked up for last December's show at O'Reilly Auto Parts or
received them from some other source, those are also still good for
THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY only!
Big thanks to Ed Rinehart and Express Race Cars as well for helping sponsor this show!!!
Outside
of a 30% chance of r--- predicted for Friday, the weather forecast
looks pretty good for the 3 days with Highs around 60 and night time
temps around 50 for the race hours.
Make your plans and
join us for the BEST MODIFIED RACERS that can be seen ANYWHERE!
They'll go for $2000 to win on Thursday, $3000 to win on Friday and a
huge, one-day $5000 to win finale on Saturday night plus, it's the
first chance to gain valuable USMTS Southern Series points in
2010. Time to get the real dirt track racing started for 2010 and
happens in Houston-by-gawd-Texas THIS THURSDAY, FRIDAY and
SATURDAY!!! GPS address: 2525 FM 565, Baytown, TX

Just in case you're in the market for a Limited Modified (Southern Sport Mod), don't buy one until you check out www.ExpressRaceCars.com !
Their shop is in Lafayette, Louisiana. Not only do their cars look
good but man are they fast and they WIN! Visit the website and you'll
see what I mean or just call 337-232-4079 and ask for Donnie, Shane or
Danny and find out what Express Race Cars has for 2010.

A very diverse field is expected at HRP this weekend. A couple of new names to give you...
From Meridian, Mississipi, Ben Stephens has indicated that he'll be bringing over the Lucas Oil #34 Mod.
And Michael Long all the way from Quincy, Illinois has said he'll be bringing down his #21M Bullet Chassis.
They were on the track today (Monday) -- packing it down hard. The want to keep the ruts away this time. They have great weather for at least the next 3 days so we should have a real good racing surface this time. It was a good race on that Thursday in December that Jason Hughes won from 9th place. He and Shryock charged through the field. It was an even better track back in May when Jason won that one by lapping his way up to the 11th place car. Can someone knock Hughes off at HRP???

Weather is turning absolutely awesome! Rain chances are down to 10% or
less all the way through Saturday. In weather.com terminology, that
pretty much means either no rain or no significant rain. Rainouts
should not be a factor at this one so load up and bring it on!
Friday's Hi 68 and Saturday's Hi is 68! Saturday night's low ain't but
54! That means we won't even get below 60 much at all if any during
Saturday night's race hours. The heat is ON in HOUSTON!!!
Already in the pits are Kelly Shryock, Jason Hughes, Howard Willis,
Shane Hebert, Zack VanderBeek, Terry Phillips, Jeremy Payne, Mark
Dotson and....
Surprise! Tommy Weder's back in a Bryan Rowland car with Rowland of course. Rodney Sanders is there too but in his own car.
Mark Noble is down from Minnesota in a 2nd Mark Smith car with Mark too
and also down from Iowa is Mike Hansen. Jay Sale and Randy Timms are
both in from Oklahoma.
Shane Killingsworth and Brad Lasiter are down from the DFW area as well.
More at the gate and more on the way but what I already named is worth
the $10 per carload and IMO, is the best deal in Texas...scratch that,
AMERICA this weekend!!!

61 Modifieds Thursday night. That's good but we can do better.
But ONLY 22 LIMITED Modifieds and they all went home with money. Don't let 'em have it so easy TONIGHT and SATURDAY.
Friday: $1000 to win, $60 to start on NO entry fee!
Saturday $1500 to win, $75 to start on NO entry fee!
