Like everyone else, the Oil Capital Racing Series staff is watching with the utmost interest of the developments with the State Fair Speedway race track.
OCRS understands how the closing of such a historic track (should such be the case) be a blow to our racing community. While our wishes are that the track would survive this onslaught to close it down, we have to come to the realization of where we are if it does indeed close.
OCRS has received calls by race teams in the OKC metro area about the 2010 racing season. We suspect we will be fielding more calls by other race teams as the developments continue to unfold. OCRS would like to extend an open invitation to ALL race teams and race fans to join us for the 2010 season. A schedule is currently in the works and we hope to be able to release it soon after the new year.
