so please tell me the advantage a quick change will have at this race???
I believe the 9 inch ford is stronger and the only reason for a quick change is if your running several diiferent sized tracks...
as for the heads, why not allow them? the put a weight restriction with them...
Just my guess but by doing this, I believe the car count will be better...

If there is no advantage then why allow the quick change. As for the aluminum heads they need to add 50 lbs in front of the motor plate not 25. I guessing they will have around 50 to 60 cars.

I'm not trying to bash the track,i hope Enid can get 200 cars for this race, if Enid was to call this race a limited late model nationals what do you think the response would be? think back 6-7 years ago when they had 120 + cars for this event what were the rules. caped weight jacks, stock 4 link,Saginaw trans. wouldn't that be a better testament on getting more cars?i also feel like in a sense they are disabling there local guys.,I'm just stating my opinion. and the advantage of a quick change?!(9") 6.50 isn't good enough but a 6.66 is a little much, compared to a 6.44 6.51 6.54 6.59 you get my point

your right on alot that you have to say but also realize that the streetstock class is a dying breed....
If you ran this show under the original rules, you would get maybe 25 cars, plain and simple, most tracks that were running them dont anymore!!! As for the 120 car statement, Im sure that this show has only went over 100 cars one time... Dont get me wrong, I like this class but the numbers just dont support it any longer. I really dont know why the rule changes happened but I would guess that they think it will bring in more cars.
I personally think this should be the last year of this show, replace the streetstocks with the sportmods. This is the fastest growing class in our area and I believe if you started advertising it right now, for next year, you would get over 100 cars easily. People may think thats crazy but watch how many cars amarillo gets with only a couple of months of advertising for its 2000 and 5000 to win sportmod shows!!! my point is, that they will come if you advertise, get some sponsors and give out some prizes!!! Come on Enid Speedway Park, be the first track ever to offer a 10,000.00 to win sportmod race......

Jayson me and you have talked about this and I agree 100%. Just like the street stock nationals, when they first took a shot at it nobody new if it would work. It did until the street stocks everywhere started dropping. With all the sport mods around theres no doubt in my mind it would work. I would just love to see Enid the first to try it. No one will ever know tell some one takes a chance on it. Could it be any worse then getting only 80-90 street stocks like the past few years?

JD and Jayson, you are both correct. JD is right in a sense that the rules changes for the 10,000-to-win street stock race, well to put it nicely..... are ABSURD!!! The changes will benefit ONE local driver especially (hint: I am not refering to Travis Johnson, Chad McNamara, or Jerry Derr). Jayson, you are 100% correct on what they should do with this race. With enough notice and with less advertisement than it would take for the street stocks they realistically could have 150+ cars.
