The new rule states no duplicate numbers in the same class and no letters or SYMBOLS. What will happen to guys and gals who tow in and have a number that someone else has. Will we see a lot of duct taped numbers on wings? There has been a 12$ out there since I can remember, now they have to go changing that. I can see it would make things easier to score, but come on.

Brandon, since they score you as number 1 and Danny as number 1 also, will you have to change your 01 to something else or will they just start scoring it the way it is on your car? Next they'll say no same last names in the same class and you'll have to change your name to Dirk Diggler or something.

Surely they will make an exception for the $ sign. I cannot imagine the 12$ and 21$ not being legal.

The day may be coming when the race track will assign numbers, rather than letting the racers pick their own number, but who knows.

An exception for one means an exception for all. Right or wrong, if you're going to have a rule, you had better enforce it uniformly or you won't have a leg to stand on when someone complains.

this rule has been in the rulebook for the past several seasons, but I have seen no differences.

A rule don't mean much minus the enforcement, and if the enforcement is inconsistent, it's purely a recipe for disaster.

Before lanny took over there were no duplicat #s But they did not stop them from adding the simble or letter after the # they just scored the car by the #.

Strawn has had the 12$ and 21$ for ever

Stanly has used the 1s for 30 years

so the way I see it is there can only be one 12, 21, or 1 in each class wether they have a letter behind them or not.

They talked about this at the first ora meeting of the year. They said that next year they will start enforcing it. You can still have the letter on the car but you can only register the #. Therefore 12$=12.

The 01 should be fine, but I think I'm either going back to 21 next year or going to 12. 12 has always been my favorite #, but when I started Flatt had 12 so I didn't take it. But now Michelle is 21 in the Supers so I might go to 12.

And the ladies already call me that Jeff....

Only place in the country that is more concerned with numbers than enforcing rules.

If yall haven't notice. They were enforcing that rule for Lawton Speedway three years ago. Still have cars with duplicate numbers with letters.
