RAMONA, Kan. -- The busiest weekend in auto
racing is drawing near and the MidwestDirt Late Model Series looks
forward to returning to action after an onslaught of wet weather.
This will be the 4th attempted show to get the season going, after 2 previous attempts were rainouts and 1 got in the books.
The
series will be in action Saturday May 23 at the Caney Valley Speedway
in Caney, Kansas. This is a slight difference in the original schedule,
calling for a Sunday night show.
This weekend's activities will compliment the May Fest in Caney during the day, celebrating the Memorial Weekend.
Ticket prices for the event will be $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for kids 6-12, and kids 6 and under are free!
Also
scheduled for the night is a special $500 to win Factory Stock event
along with the USRA Modifieds, B-Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks,
and Turf Cars.
In the previous event at Caney Valley Speedway
Chuck Comer and Jimmy Segraves fought an amazing side by side duel for
the lead throughout a majority of the race with Comer coming out on top
in the Inaugural win for the series. Comer also has the early points
lead.
