PRACTICE TONIGHT!!!
It's the 3rd Annual Doug Murphrey Memorial Race THIS SATURDAY NIGHT in north Louisiana!!! Check out the schedule around the area leading up to this night that follows the poster below. May make the trip from Oklahoma worth the journey!!!

For now, http://www.myspace.com/fasttraxspeedway is available. http://www.fasttraxspeedway.net is temporarily unavailable but they are expecting it back on-line soon.
Two new sites are coming: http://www.fasttraxspeedway.com and http://www.dirtcars.us which will be for Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, LA which Fast Trax Speedway promoter Jerry Smith will be operating on Saturday nights.
The full Late Model paydown will be available shortly as well but $2500 to win on a $75 entry fee is a good start!!!
Fast Trax is a weekly Friday night track. This is a special Saturday night event. Some scheduling facts as they are presently known:
-- Mods are off at Fast Trax on Friday, May 22nd. This was announced at Fast Trax's last driver's meeting. There's a $2000 to win for Mods with NO entry fee at Ark-La-Tex on FRIDAY, the 22nd. Mods are off at Ark-La-Tex on May 30th for the Doug Murphrey Memorial at Fast Trax.
-- Last chance to tune up a Mod then before the DMM would be THIS Friday, May 15th!!!
-- Late Models will run at both weekly shows -- THIS Friday, May 15th AND May 22nd -- leading up to the DMM!!!
-- Drew County Speedway is running USCS Sprint Cars and Modifieds on FRIDAY the 29th and will be off on Saturday, May 30th for the DMM. They also have a USMTS show on their regular Saturday night date of June 13th, one night after Fast Trax has their USMTS show on their regular Friday date of June 12th.
-- I-30 Speedway also has a USCS Sprint Car & Modified show on THURSDAY, May 28th.
-- Monroe Motor Speedway (asphalt) is racing all week long (special for Bandaleros and such) from the 26th to the 30th but with the SUPR Late Models rescheduled for Friday, the 29th. Wonder how hard it is or how long it takes to change a Dirt Late Model that you have set-up to run on asphalt and get it ready to run dirt again. SUPR is OFF at this time on the 30th. This might work out pretty good...
-- Since Fast Trax promoter Jerry Smith is also now the new promoter of Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, TVS will also be off on the 30th for the Doug Murphrey Memorial!
This year's Doug Murphrey Memorial race is shaping up to be the best one yet! Be there!!!

Late Models use SUPR-type rules including the 12-inch spoiler rule for the spec motor. Tires are: Hoosier 55's or 1600, 11's or 1300, & American Racer 38 or 56. Please check www.fasttraxspeedway.net or www.fasttraxspeedway.com for more on rules such as mufflers, etc....
Late Model paydown:
($75 entry fee, $30 pit pass)
$2.500 to win!
2nd $1.500
3rd $1000
4th $900
5th $800
6th $700
7th $600
8th $500
9th $400
10th $300
11th on down will be $200 to start.
This Friday at Fast Trax, is the last chance to race a Late Model or a Limited Modified there before the DMM on the 30th. Modifieds are off at Fast Trax this Friday.

This is Louisiana's biggest ONE-NIGHT Dirt Track show of the year!!!
Lee Patton of Quitman, LA won the Modified
tune-up on Sunday with his Harris Chassis #JP5 while Timothy Culp
finished second in a Taylor Motorsports Chassis. Dougie Murphrey --
who's family puts this race on every year -- came from 15th to finish
3rd in another Taylor. Dougie will not be racing on Saturday night.
Just hosting.
They say the track was in great shape and they had a real good race!!!
Dougie used the middle of the track to go around the outside of cars and make it to third. It was a 3-way dog-fight for the lead their for a moment too but a timely caution sent Murphey back to third and showed Culp the line. And this was DAY racing folks! This Saturday we start heats at 8PM sharp! The later start is to keep the track conditions good all night.
This show next up, THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!!! Be there!!!

They
have added a fourth class -- Pure Stocks. Limited Mods (Sport
Mods) have a $25 entry fee. Here's the schedule and other
information from their message board at www.fasttraxspeedway.net :
Pit prices Friday night ONLY
$20 CAR & DRIVER
Everyone else who enters pits will be $10 until Midnight
Free Grandstands on Friday
Concession will be open late.
No
campers will be allowed in pit area without a race car hooked to it. If
you want to bring a camper in, we will park you on the backstretch or
in the main parking area. We do not have hook ups for campers.
SATURDAY MAY 30TH.....RACE DAY
Pit Gates open at 10am
Front Gates 12pm
Pill Draw starts at 4pm ends at 6pm
Track packing at 6:15pm
Hot Laps 6:30
Racing at 8pm.
