100-52: All of the Joonyer hype.
51: Green/White/Checker finishes and the phantom red flags.
50-1: Michael Waltrip. Please make him go away. I
would root for Toyota if it weren't for this clown. Pete Pistone
summed up my thoughts perfectly in his current column on Racingone. I
shudder when I hear Mikey's voice. (DW's on my last nerve
too.)
Mikey is the luckiest person in racing. Everything falls into his lap, not to mention surviving that Bristol wreck in '90. If only it would have ended his career.

Your sentiment about Mikey's Bristol wreck could use a little re-think, I believe, no matter how annoying he is. I'm really, really tired of him on TV, but when he came to OKC a few years ago, he seemed like a decent enough guy. Personally, I've taken comfort in something my old mom told me many, many years ago...."if you don't like it, don't eat it." I've burned out on NASCAR whatever-Cup, and my Sundays are now wonderfully productive times. I sometimes run a tape for a quick look later, but I get a lot more done and I'm not ticked off every Sunday. Try it. You'll LIKE it.

I watched Daytona because it is Daytona. I watched Despains show last night and I can't believe how many ignorant fans there are. Oh wait, they aren't fans, they are worshipers of their favorite driver and have only been following the sport of racing the past ten years.
Both Waltrips need a Dodge Ram up their azz. I think the only good thing about NASCRAP live is Kenny Wallace and Jimmy Spencer. Spencer is a reble and Kenny has found the love of dirt track racing. May the rest go down with the popularity of NASCAR as its popularity is bound to end soon.

I never missed a race for 18 years.5 years ago I decided I didn't need it.Like the gentleman said, sunday evenings are a lot more productive now plus my 2 kids like it better now also.LOL Spent a lot of sunday mornings from 11:30 to noon in church figiting waiting to rush home so I wouldn't miss many laps.LOL I just watched Daytona and Talledega but not anymore after sunday messing Mark out of that win.Let them ALL wreck coming through all the spinning cars.Saftey 1st,yeah,that's nascar.I know I don't matter but no more for me.It's become a fad and as all fads it will fade.
God made dirt,man made asphalt.

Productive weekends. Dirt track racing and Indoor Soccer constitute my productive weekends. Sometimes painful weekends too. But hey.......3 championship shirts in 3 seasons may not be productive......but at least its a success. Cup is always half full.

Galen, you're right about my Bristol comment. Too harsh. Still a lucky guy.
I've noticed that I tend to take pretty good naps during NASCAR races. Doesn't happen during football games, golf, basketball, baseball, hockey, bowling, figure skating, curling......Hmm....Might be on to something here.
