2009 YGS Participants The Staff of the Young Guns Shootout is preparing for it's 2009 race season. Between now and January 1, '09, I need to hear from folks that plan to participate in the series. Each car participating in the YGS must have: -Drivers last name on roof above front window at least 3" tall -Front Window Visor for sponsor/YGS decal (you are racing for half purse until this is displayed from first race!) The 2009 YGS season one time registration fee is $10. This must be received before your first race with the series. Funds go torwards year end points banquet. All races scheduled for the 2009 season will be full points races. In an effort to allow you to miss an event, the structure will be as follows; -7 scheduled races, total points is your best 5 finishes (just an example) (if you make all events, your two worst finishes will be dropped. if you only make for example four events, all four get counted) Special invited racers (that may be over 16, not to be older than 18) are not allowed to race for points. In this series, we need to know car count race by race, before race day. Participants MUST call or email prior to each scheduled race event. To make this series successful, we need minimum of 14-15 entries per race. All cars WILL be safety inspected before your first race. The first couple of events, you will need to be early so this can be taken care of. Be prepared for specific item tech inspection at every race. Please realize, there are many different kids with different skill levels. If you come to this series and try to bully the less experienced drivers, you will no longer be allowed in the series. We agree to give racing room, and, we DO NOT race with our front bumpers. Do not call race tracks or track promoters to answer YGS questions, call YGS Staff. If you are not asking YGS officials, you are not getting correct answer! Parents/owners; Drivers are responsible for their crew and fans!! Rules are subject to change without notice. It is your responsibility to keep up with YGS rules. Website will be kept up to date, www.younggunsshootout.com Mufflers WILL be required at tracks that require mufflers, no exception. Street tires required at all tracks unless told different by Tony Hernandez. You are not required to agree with YGS policies and rules.
