Congrats Shawn on the dominating win, also thank you very much for the spare tire for the trailer, you were a life saver after the blow out on I-240, we will get a new tire this week and when you need it back just let us know, congrats on the win ...

Yea, That was a heck of a pile up. Mines not to bad, just some body damage and front tie rod. What caused it anyhow?

From where we sit it appeared the 05 just barely got into the 65C and turned him crossways...boom, boom, boom. It was over in an instant.

Glad you didn't have too much damage

You guys have taken this "Young Guns " thing to a new level. I gotta tell you I never thought I'd see 10 yr. olds in a mini stock. I didn't get the opportunity to talk to Ron or Ronnie, so I don't know the extent of their plans. I definately would like to see him and Colby again, and maybe a grudge race could be put together. I'd like to have the time duing intermisssion sometime to get all our "Young Guns" down and interview them and let everyone know who they are and how old/young they are. I know we have several drivers under 18.

When I was a kid, they wouldn't even let us in the pits!!!. Everyone had to be of driver's licensce age to drive. Man I'm old.

This is Ronnie's mom Misty. He had fun Saturday night. He was alittle scared but will not say that he was. I think i was more scared for him... But Saturday night was the first for Ronnie in his new car. Besides pulling it off and on the trailer.. The cars 2nd gear would not work for him. So we are needing a transmission. so if anyone knows where we can get one that would help out alot... as for the grudge race... Its a go on our side. LOL.... Lets just wait a few more races for him, that way he can get it down. It is so cute, will i guess thats not the word to use for these "young guns" Its AWESOME to see these kids out here doing stuff with their dads. And not inside on the computer or game boxes....

I have a question for the Announcer. Do you know anyone that was videoing the quad races?.... My brother is the one the flipped Saturday. And he was wanting to see it. LOL... you know boys.....It not bad enough to feel it, they have to see it too.....

Thanks

Misty

I'd be glad to check with a couple of people I know who tape the races for themselves. The track video only shows the start/finish line, as scoring is all its used for. I personally didn't even see what happened. As usual "it happened too fast" and I was looking at the leaders.

I can't imagine how intimidating it must be for the young guys, running against all those "professionals" that are much older, and more experienced.

Good Luck to Ron and Ronnie!

Cowtown Speedway had the Jr. Mini Stock class for 16 & under, now i think they have the Jr. Bomber Class, it was alot of fun to watch the kids race when I had the chance and not getting ready to race when i lived there in Arlington, the Bomber class is pretty good for the Young Guns, the cars look like Factory Stocks as in most run Monte Carlos and that type of body style, but have the Pure Stock type motors in them, so there is another class for the Young Guns if it were to take off up here, good luck to the Young Guns, it is always nice to see them race and progress as they gain track experiance and seat time.... :)

I read an artical in the October 2008 Circle Track magazine where there is now a new kids modified series (not here in Oklahoma YET ) called the "Afco Kidmodz series". They say they are full-fledged modifieds with ford 2.3 liter 4 cylinders. It's something we might see around here in the near future, time will tell.............

Creek dropped the Jr. Mini class and went to front wheel drive a couple of years ago. Wish they had kept the Jr. Mini class...there were a lot of kids that really liked it.
