The 4th Annual 2008 Fast Fuel Cajun Classic is now a $5000 to win Stock Car race with NO entry fee, and just a $30 pit pass, that'll be run on Saturday, Oct 25th with hot laps at 4:30, qualifying at 5PM and Main Events at 8:30 but there's one more twist.....

The track will be dark on Thursday the 23rd but on Friday the 24th there will be an open practice session from 6 to 8:30 with....

TIME TRIALS TO FOLLOW!!!

Gene just ordered a timing system for the track! The grandstand will be closed on Friday the 24th with pit passes sold for $20. Three classes will race at this year's Cajun Classic: $500 to win/$40 to start each in Limited Modifieds & Southern-Hot Stocks and of course, $5000 to win/$250 to start Factory Stocks (or Cruisers).

The TWO FASTEST TIMES on Friday night will be guaranteed starting spots in Saturday's A-main for all 3 classes!

Saturday will be draw for position in all 3 classes and run a complete show just like we did at the Ark-La-Tex Championship with one less class (no Mods). Pit Pass is $30. Grandstand for 13 & up is $15, under 12 is free!

Payout:

Factory Stock: $5000-1100-1000-800-600-400-340-320-300, 10th-20th: $250 to Start.

Limited Modified & Southern-Hot Stock: 500-240-180-160-140-120-100-80-60,10th-20th: $40 to start.

$5000 to win in an economical Stock Car class on a $30 pit pass, one-day show, NO entry fee that pays $250 to start on a great race track, at a great facility and gas prices are falling! This is tough to beat!!!

Weather's looking really beautiful and fall-like for this weekend!

A front moves through tonight (Wednesday) and that will bring some showers and thunderstorms. After that, smooth sailing all the way through Sunday. Highs will be in the upper 60s and lows in the mid to upper 40s and nearly no chance of rain for the weekend!

This all adds up to perfect track conditions for the LARGEST ONE-DAY WINNER'S PURSE for ANY CLASS in the state of Louisiana for 2008. Hope to see ya there!

Weather still looking great!

Practice tonight 6 to 8:30 then go ahead, lay down your best time afterward during time trials!!! Pit Pass $20. (NOT mandatory! -- 20 qualifying spots available to everyone who enters Saturday including the A-main front row.)

Race Day High 72, Sunny with light winds. Sat night low: 47, but I bet we have you out long before we get close to that.

It's all good!

Texarkana's Justin Whitehead & Marshall's Chris Henigan assured themselves spots in tonight's 50-lap, $5000 to win Cajun Classic finale by running the fastest Factory Stock lap times in last night's time trials. 20 qualifying spots are up for grabs today and last night's time trials don't factor in at all. Come and draw a spot in this evening's heat races and pass as many cars as you can! The top two in passing points get the front row. The rest will line up in a qualifying race, heads-up by the points they earned in the heat races. (Just like the Ark-La-Tex Championships). 18 more spots at $250 to start each will come from the qualifying races. If Whitehead & Henigan are not among those 20, they will start 21st & 22nd!

Gates open soon, hot laps at 4:30 and heat races start at 5PM.

Main Events scheduled for 8:30 tonight! Last night was over at 11:20. Temperature was a cool 51 degrees by then but very nice!

Third quick was Doug Vick, Jr. Justin and Chris were the only ones under 18 sec. Justin's quick lap was in 17.8s, Chris was 17.9 and Vick was 18.078 while Waskom's Dean Rascoe in the Ricky Nichols #5cent car was just 7 one-thousanths slower at 18.085 in 4th. Over 50 cars timed-in last night.

Redlick, Texas Southern Stock drivers Adam and Aaron Roy set the fast times in Southern Stocks while Mark Smith was just under 17 seconds in Limiteds to set that fast time!
