U people are out of your mind.....
Contact was made with Rahmers RR to Harrisons LF coming off T4, heading down the straight.... if I was Rahmer..I would be pretty pissed at Harrison running into the back of me.....
At the end of the day..one driver could see that contact was about to be made...avoidance would have happened with either a slight lift, slight brake stab or slight veer right....
If this was mid corner RR to side nerf you would have something to complain about....
Stay tuned for the "Rahmer is an innocent man" tshirts !!

Cobra: I would have to agree with you on that. It looked like a good opportunity for a good cross over move, but Harrison didn't tap the brake to set up coming back to the inside of Rahmer. Like you said, if it was the the right rear and the left side nerf it would have been a different story.
How many times do we see something exactly like that coming out of the corner where you think they are going to make contact and the driver on the high side gets off it a bit and comes shooting under coming out of the corner and down the strait.

Harrison definately hits the backside of Rahmers RR....play it on slow motion and figure it out for yourself..... Harrisons car climbs the RR. The only hay to do that is to hit it (RR) on the rear side.
It does look like Harrison got a little more drive forward (bite) at the last moment than he had planned, propelling his car into Rahmer. ( his slide stops and the car lurches forward...look at the cusion in relation to his (Harrison's) line, and you can clearly see him leave the cushion and drive down the track before the impact.)
Yes it was aggresive by Rahmer....dirty...NO. that's sprint car racing...
Each car is equiped with two pedals and a wheel. The best drivers use them all.

We can just blame the flag man for this crash .He should have told Harrison to get out of Rahmers way cause he has so little experience on high banked tracks.Rahmer needs some more seat time on high banked tracks the way the video shows! Rahmers needs to get through that learning curve but back in PA . he should be OK.

...OK...I put my Beer Hill Gang shirt on, got myself a bag of Middleswarth chips, downed a quick six of Rolling Rock, watched some classic Joe Paterno / Penn State videos, went outside and faced to the east, clicked my wooden shoes together three times, and then watched the video over and over again in slow motion...gotta say I STILL DON"T BUY IT !!!
...Rahmer dumped Harrison plain and simple...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!

Its typical Rahmer.
Brake checks, piss poor slide jobs, pinching cars going into corners, running cars into the infield wall on the straightaway.
The guy has no respect for his fellow competitors, yet for some reason, most of his competitors have the utmost respect for him. I don't get it.

They respect him because he goes hard EVERY lap, like most champions do. He wants to win EVERY lap and if not, then EVERY race, like most champions do. I watched Steve and Sammy race hundreds of times and saw plenty of contact over the years and in almost every case they were going forward, like most champions do. There ain't anyone sittin' in the Hall of Fame or ever will that didn't tear up a few getting there and the bonus you get with Fred is the honest answers, few ever told it straighter. Take It Easy......
