Jim Scherer is the next to join the Weikel Racewear SpeedSTR tour. After an exciting and impressive 5th place run with the series at New Egypt Speedway, Scherer commented "The power to weight ratio with these cars was very impressive for a series that is designed to be economical," with that being said Scherer decided it was time to place an order for a new Tobias STR. Jim comes from an extensive Big Block modified background which includes a feature event win at the New Egypt Speedway and was a car owner for famed modified driver, Keith Hoffman. Recently Scherer has been competing in the World Formula Modified Tour for Micro-Stocks and is a three-time winner already this year.
The talent that continues to come into this exciting and economical series is very inspiring for the growth and future of the Weikel Racewear STR's.
