How would you like to be one of my managers neighbours who has flown 12,000 miles to drive in speedweek and speedweek only and all he has is rain outs in Ohio .And to fly back straight after speedweek and has flown over his 2nd driver and a crew member as well .Talk about a expensive trip to Ohio with no racing .Hope they get some racing in

I feel bad for all you folks in the upper midwest and ohio valley. We here in Oklahoma City have gotten 14 out of 15 races in.
and that isnt really accurate. the 1 rainout - the race was completed except for the final 2 sprint car A Mains. 1 will be made up this friday - the ascs make up is august 15th. so technically - we haven't been rained out yet. 15-0 is amazing.
this aint rubbing it in either. up north they did not have this problem last year. wanna know why? because we did! LOL. especially the first half of the year - we got rained out more than we raced. this year has just been a good weather pattern for us in Oklahoma. we are actually well above averyage rainfall - its just been doing it during the week. I hate for any fan, track, or series to suffer a rainout anywhere - especially when its a good big show or a like a speedweek that cant be made up later. but it is almost necessary.............because if every track in the US got to run all their shows yearlong with no rainouts...........that would be great for racing but would mean - DROUGHT! like last year some tracks in the southeast didnt rainout even once.......... but if you wanted to go to a nearby lake later that wekeend - you could not - because the drought had damn near evaporated many smaller lakes and streams. sorry i have no clue where i am going with this...........what can I say? its tuesday - raceday is still a few days away and I'm a little off in the head.........
I hope mother nature lays off ya'll the rest of the week.................

Sounds like Ohio needs the promoters from Lincoln with Fred Putney preparing the track. The only thing evening thunderstorms mean to them are a short rain delay and a wicked fast track. I hope they start getting them in tonight.
