any one know what happend to the ascs race that was scheduled for june 21st in spencer ia? i see that is no longer on the schedule.

Looks like it has been canceled, no reason given. Maybe it has something to do with Jackson racing on the same night and its the U of Okoboji night at Jackson with free concert after the races. . Fan and car turn outs would be bad at both tracks. A midweek show would be better at Spencer since there is so many other tracks in the area racing on the weekends.

The Spencer, Ia race track was brought to life last year with Craig Dollansky promoting the World Of Outlaws, and was a HUGE success. However, the special shows, outside of the WoO race this year, has been truely disappointing to the fans of Northwest Iowa, MAINLY because of the promoter, JOE RINGSDORF, for the OTHER special events. He is running this track that has a very high potential of being an OUTSTANDING specials track into a track for stock car specials :( ! The racing in this area has WAY TOO MANY STOCK CAR SPECIALS and we need specials like the USMTS, WoO Late Models, and ASCS races to come here to not only satisfy the fans but also to make Spencer, IA businesses and the community to realize that this race track is truely a gem in their community!!!
