As some of you already know, Brian Dronberger was seriously injured in an automobile accident in February. He is still is ICU and medical bills are quickly rising. Brian has lived in the Bridge Creek area for several years. Ridgecrest Baptist Church, located at 1118 S. Sara Rd., Blanchard, OK, is hosting a fund raiser dinner to help ease some of the financial strain on his family. The dinner will be at 6 PM on Friday, March 28th., and will feature beans and cornbread, fried potatoes, salad and dessert. A live bluegrass band will also be on hand to entertain dinner attendees. In addition, several items will be auctioned to raise more funds.
Since many of you will be at the race track when the dinner is held, I encourange you to send a donation to the church for Brian's benefit. Please make checks out to Ridgecrest Baptist Church and notate on the check or separate piece of paper that the money is a donation for Brian Dronberger and they will add it to the fund raiser collection. Auctions items are still being accepted. You may call the church (387-2811) or send email to [email protected] for more information.
Donations can be sent to Ridgecrest Baptist Church 1118 S. Sara Rd., Blanchard, OK 73010.
Just think . . . . . if we each send just $5.00 (or more), it will make a huge impact on the fund raising effort for Brian! The best part is that it will let Brian and his family know that the racing community cares about them and wants to help them.

When I took some items from my business to the church to be included in the fund raiser dinner/auction, the secretary had just gotten off the phone with Brian and his son. It was the first day since the accident that Brian was able to answer the phone himself so they were all thrilled with this small improvement in his condition. Brian still does not have feeling in his legs and arms, but he is now able to move them slightly. He is talking more and he seems to know and understand much of what is happening around him. He still remains in the ICU at Oklahoma Memorial Hospital.
The family's need for financial assistance is great and continues to grow. Brian was self-employed and obviously has not been able to work since the accident.
