Hello my names chris, long time member of the boards, just never post or view whats being said on the board anymore. Formally from the midwest now residing in md. I been around dirt racing for god knows how many years with it either being track related or pit crew related from late models to sprint cars. My question is, what does it take to get on a national touring team? what do they look for? any pre rec's do they require. Mechanical is my thing, teaching myself for years of working on cars and just learning how race cars work and set ups. Just looking to get back into racing more and if i do, i'd like to try touring the national level with a team, or get the help to get involved with a team to work up to a national team. thanks for your time

Chris

living out of a suitcase in a totorhome or rig. working your butt off all day to race, then go wash the car and drive 400 miles to do it again the next night. washing your clothes with a pressure washer. lol. long trips on the road. race track food. if you enjoy that kind of stuff it is a big plus.

The pit crews for the travelling teams don't get enough credit for the price they pay to be involved with big time sprint car racing thats for sure.
