Race season has begun and already they are shoving yet another overrated, third-generation, a shadow of their fathers and grandfathers past driver down our throats. Little "E" this and Little "E" that and he has accomplished nothing except winning some races. NASCRAP just stated that he is their "franchise" driver and their success depends on how he does. Guess they are prepping him to win todays Daytona so no need for me to watch it.

He follows Kyle Petty as one of the most overrated, third-generation drivers who has yet to accomplish anything of significance.

And for those who don't agree and want to complain about what I said, just call somebody and complain to death and I will receive a phone call and take this post off.

Im a J.Gordon fan all the way BUT i think with little E in a hendricks ride he is going to look good no matter what J.G and J.J will be thrown by the waistside in a couple years and E will be the future im sad to say if he has just a pinkies of his fathers talent he is the future.

well, everybody has their opinion on that deal, You guys are right Dale Jr and Kyle Petty had the name to help them into the sport, Petty and dale have both won races, Dale has won alot more and won a busch or now the nation wide championship, and names have never won races. They are prolly middle of the row drivers in nascar, both are very marketable, but look how many guys have retired without winning races in cup or busch, these guys have wins. :)

I'm not sure about the overrated part, but he has been looking that way for several years. The only thing I think that keeps me from totally agreeing is that his dads vision is not there. Also he never had to race for his next meal, which makes a difference in the long run.

This'll be his last go-round to get the big hook-up on making history like he was expected to. Not sure if it's there yet. Oh well, I was at least with my best ever girlfriend the day he won at Texas, I do have that memory.

Anybody else notice the different "image" Jr is putting out now that he's with Hendrick? Clean shaven, no more stubbly beard, hair cut is neat and trim, and the commercials he's doing are really funny...the one with the camel cracks me up. He's definitely in the Hendrick mold now, no more James Dean wannabe tough guy with "issues." Could it be the whole NASCAR thing is actually marketing? Nah, of course not. ;)

I was never a Dale Sr fan. Quite the contrary. And most everyone will agree that Joonyer would be a car salesman or truck driver if it hadn't been for daddy.

But why blame Joonyer? He has come along slowly. What part of that was talent and what part car? He's done his time with Cruella. This year will pretty much tell if he is among the best. I think he's handled the pressure of being Little E very well. Go Joonyer.

The interesting thing will be tocompare Joonyer to Shrub. Most people would say Hendrick swapped talent for marketability. Not that I blame him for getting rid of that snot-nosed kid. But man, he can drive. How are they gonna feel if Shrub wins the championship? I think it's going to be an interesting year.

Go, Juan Pablo

The one thing that sticks in my mind about shrub is his ability to be seen losing his temper in a snot nosed way just like his brother. Yes, Tony does it too, but when the Busch bros. do it, it's as if they really are 10 yrs old and with too much money. Some can pull it off better than others.

But yes, Kyle Busch is a race car driver. He has pulled a hell of a lot out of what I used to call "penalty box cars". First the 5, now the 18. Talent. And that in the end is what we pay to see. I'm hoping joonyer has enough talent to keep face.

But, since he never wheeled an open wheel car on a short track, I'll survive if he doesn't.
