Being a 410 non wing fan the car counts these first two nights- dismal!, at USAC Eastern Storm
Lesson learned?
Go to see them in their playground- Indiana, for better racing events.

Was there for Midget week, last week.
I also have never been to Paragon, but I was during midget week.
Love that place.

That has been the norm since Eastern Storm started. You get the teams who run for points which is the top teams and a few locals. When it is all said and done they only put that number in the feature anyway. I will be at Port Royal for Usac sprints, Silver Crown And 410 winged on Saturday. Those non wing guys need to push for higher purses.

Like what was previously stated, the car count this year for Eastern Storm is the norm. What is worrisome to me, is the low car count for the Indiana Midget Week, which had it's 2nd lowest ever in 2026
Eastern Storm Stats
•2026 22.3 (after 3 of 6 races run)
•2025 21.6
•2024 24.7
•2023 27.8
•2022 20.6
•2021 25
•2019 23
•2018 23.7

•2013 28
•2012 22.8
•2011 30.3
•2010 23.3
•2009 20.7
•2008 30
•2007 29.3
Indiana Midget Week Stats
•2026 27.6
•2025 35.7
•2024 31.4
•2023 28.3
•2022 31.2

Very revealing stats Bill. The USAC East coast series needs to run 410's, the guys that run in that series know they're at a huge disadvantage with 360's when the eastern storm rolls into town but I think USAC might want it that way. It was interesting to see some of the car counts used to be in the high 20's. The USAC midget scene is a shame, just a tremendous loss of cars since the 90's. I was fortunate enough to see a midget week when there was about 40 cars a night. USAC is slowly killing that division nationally after wiping out many regional groups. I just don't understand their logic..

it looks like the crowds have been good. briggs danner is the most exciting thing going on in pa sprint car racing right now...by far. he doesn't get the attention here in central pa since it's non-wing and he's not racing around here much. there aren't many things lately that have me motivated to go to williams grove. getting to see briggs is definitley going to get me out there.

I disagree about USAC east having to run 410s a couple years ago they were going to 410s but the drivers and teams were against it because of costs. I do agree USAC is killing midget racing if you remember ARDC adopted USAC engine rules and USAC co sanctioned a with ARDC which before that was pretty solid. Now ARDC is dead with no midget racing on the east coast. The last race they tried drew 4 cars

The price differences between the engines has equalized quite a bit, and you don't need a killer wing engine to run without a wing. I bet some of the east coast guys would show up if they normally ran a 410, no use showing up with a 360. Usac did the same thing in CA when they started the usac CRA. they do not want locals to be able to compete with their national guys, they've been like that since their inceptioin. I like the USAC racing format but not their politics. To me, they are like a steward of grass roots open wheel racing and they should try to and help the sport grow instead of just making it for a select group. It's nice to see the Hogue team and Briggs have the success they are having but they aint doing it with a 360.

USAC East Coast needs to go to 410s so a handful of their cars can be more competitive one week a year when the national series comes to town? No definitely no. USAC East Coast has a good thing going with current rules. There is no need to chase guys out of the series just because the national series comes to town one week a year.
