Kofoid wins the Husets HighbankS
Timms wins the Knoxville Nationals

Who wins the National Open?

The game is changing, midget style driving in sprint cars is being rewarded. The Donny Schatz stick in the low/middle grooves has been replaced by driving on the ragged edge.
Improvements in quality of parts have allowed this I think. Less part failures and breaks allow a bang the boards style that would have been punished by part failures leading to crashes in the past.

Seems to me there have been a lot of part failures this year. I've seen several hard right turns into walls that seem more common lately. Parts could be better but I wonder if a young driver experiences a hard crash will they back off a bit afterward. I was young once. I thought I was invincible. I was wrong.

Sammy Swindell, the 69 year old youngster, won the 410 feature at Benton Speedway in Missouri driving the Paul Hart #44 car.

It's obviously because sprint car racing is watered down and doesn't have the talent anymore, can't you see that? I mean back the day when Sammy, Kinser and Wolfgang blah blah blah blah blah.
In all seriousness, there is a butt-load of talent out there, and I'm excited to be watching during this era where there are more than 3 premier cars/drivers.

Pursely & Sams winning races was incredible too. I look for Pursley to contend next year & I could see Sams bringing the 2KS back to prominence

agreed and you are talking about Tulare turn one? My favorite track...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...
