I tried to post a link with no success. Go to the Duluth News Tribune site for a report of two men hospitalized after truck/train collision.

This report really does not give a lot of info, lets just hope and pray Dustin's injuries are not as serious as they may appear to be. Being hit by a train can't be good at all.

I tried posting the link as well but that site is making it difficult to do that.

Two hospitalized after train strikes truck in Floodwood

Duluth News Tribune
Published Friday, December 14, 2007

Two Floodwood men were hospitalized after the pickup truck they were in was struck by a train in Floodwood Township on Thursday afternoon.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department, Dustin Lindquist, 23, and Clint Terry, 24, were admitted to St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, a BNSF Railway Company train hit the truck Lindquist was driving on his family’s driveway after leaving the house.

Terry was a passenger in the truck, which was overturned in the collision. The three people aboard the train were not in-jured. The accident happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. on the 11200 block of U.S. Highway 2 in Floodwood Township, where the train tracks run parallel to the highway. The accident remains under investigation.

That's bad news. I hope they're going to be alright.

I had two cousins who were killed by a train near Floodwood in 1995. I work for the BNSF railroad in St. Paul.

I just talked to Deb and Dustin just got out of surgery and he's responding to Docs commands he's in pain but he's coming around. He's a tough little SOB i'm confident he'll come out of this alright.
