There is currently a thread on the Williams Grove board that shows Robert building a Sprint Car inside his trailer, then removing the side of the trailer to get the car out. Amazing pictures.

Does he have much of a following at Knoxville? I mean no disrespect to Mr. Bell at all with this post. He seems exactly like Billy Kimmel was here in PA. Fans at the Grove loved Billy Kimmel because he was the lowest dollar team in the 410s.

I think the fans would tear down the lights at Knoxville were to ever win a feature.

To say he is a crowd favorite is an understatement.

Robert may be low dollar, but for sure is a crowd favorite!

They are under the section of the message board entitled "Miscellaneous Open Wheel Racing." The thread is titled "How Bad Do Ya Want It?"

Robert is definitely one of a kind.

I have said for years that it would be great to start a fund to send him and his operation to Australia so that they can experience the "Robert Bell" phenomenon. I'm guessing they would be left speechless. He would give them a whole new meaning to the term "no worries!"

Don't get to Knoxville (640 miles one way), but regularly see the WoO at Huset's. Do the Knoxville fans boo t-mac as they rediculously boo him at Huset's, due to I suppose to his winning a billion races at each place. The Huset's thing is comical. T-mac won this year, so they were really upset. But, he does have a lot of admirers too. At Husets, anything that happens during the entire night, is to help McCarl get to the front, according to the boooers.

Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

How about the year Robert retired at the Knoxville banquet due to the fact his car wasn't going to meet the minimum requirements for frame thickness. He got a nice ovation for his announcement then won a new frame and came up and got the biggest ovation of the night when he announced he was coming OUT of retirement, funny stuff. Take It Easy....

To finish that story Mike, the banquet was in Knoxville in November (kinda cool that night), Robert loaded up the frame in the back of his pick-up, had one of his crew members drive and he rode in the seat of the sprint car in the open back of the pick-up.

To be honest, I get sick of any driver BEGGING EVERYONE for money to race. I can see once in awhile cause we all know how expensive it is, but dang. If you can't afford to do it...

Too bad there aren't more people involved in sprint car racing today, that takes the Robert Bell approach. There would be way much more fun back into sprint car racing. Everyone nowadays are "idea people" "waiting for sponsers/money to come into their hands", but when that dries up, they seem to disappear? Robert gets to the track one way or the other, without mutli people helping him. I doubt you'll ever see 15 people pile out of his tow truck when they drop by the pit shack. I doubt RB's truck would hold 3 people with his coolers,McDonald's sacks, suitcases piled in the cab :-) May not be the most glorious looking piece on the track but RB has fun to say the least. I kinda doubt you'd find a "PR person" posted to contact on RB's website :-) Who in sprint car racing really needs a PR person anyway? Bottom line Robert has fun sprint car racing. Not too many wheel turners can say they do it all themselves nowadays. Hats off to Robert!

Take care

Robert Bell is a very friendly driver. I have sat and b.s.'d with him and he is refreshing. I could not believe the number of races he hits each season, On his own, no big sponsorship. He does it for his passion for racing. Nice guy

I've seen Robert take parts off his car so someone else can race. Wouldn't be cool if just one night some outlaw team let him race one of their backups.

funny thing about sprint cars is, the chassis isnt the expensive portion of the car , that is a bare chassis , of course a kit would be more expence , I believe running a full season at the Knox would take a pretty thick wallet and most importantly a solid motor, if not a few , that 1/2 mile cant be easy on them , (I guess if you run 5500 rpm it will live for quite awhile but, your results will show),a fresh driveline, tires! and routine maitiance are what really matters, and add up quickly! It all depends on what one competitor is after . altough there is those guys that run mid to tail everynight and at the end of the season they finish ahead of the hard chargers (with bad luck or inexperiance), some win the fight ,some win the war, at anyrate, Its good to hear some blue collar stories, the glamorous side of this sport always steals the spotlight, I wish Flattout and Sprint & Midget would do more features on the "real " back yard heros that continue to race , because thier "love to race". Ill definetly check this guy out , im all for the underdogs!

Well you must be sick of all the drivers that have any sponsors then, cause they didn't get them by not doing a little begging!

I would like to see Robert in some good equipment for one season at Knoxville. I am quite sure the results would be a surprise to a lot of people. Like I have said before, he does more with less than any driver I have ever been around and has fun doing it. Kind of reminds me of when I first started in the early 70's, we had junk equipment by todays standards, but we had a heck of a lot more fun. I don't think that there are too many people willing to pay that price to race today.

I dont know if any of you remember the Nationals when Robert wreck on the Saturday day show a few years back and his car was no were close to being repairable and Robert went to his camper and got woke up about 5:30 by one of his crew guys and said lets go you gotta go racing.... He thought it was a dream and his car had been fixed by 6 other teams... i believe the 6 of Parson's racing loaned a tailtank and lasoski loaned a wing and I feel like that is what racing is truely about.... The little people making this sport what it really is and Finally they get some respect back..... Robert Bell for President

Nope, nothing close to the same...the fans at Knoxville don't slash trailer tires on the haulers either. Big difference!
