Another Great Field of Texas Sprint Series Teams Set for Monarch Spring Nationals – Friday May 22nd, 8pm!

Wichita Falls, TX (5/17/20) by DarinShort.com. The RaceSaver IMCA sanctioned Texas Sprint Series (TSS) season opened with a series record car count at the Tony Hernandez Memorial at Kennedale Speedway Park on Saturday, March 7th with 18-year-old Casey Burkham taking the winner’s prize back to his Combine, Texas hometown.

Then we all entered a dark era of world history. The Series, along with nearly everything else sat idle for two months.

But now it’s time for the TSS series engines to fire back up this coming Friday May 22nd with the running of the Monarch Spring Nationals at Monarch Motor Speedway (MMS) located on the western edge of Wichita Falls, Texas. Joining the TSS will be a full racing program for the USRA Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Limited Modifieds and Tuners; plus the MMS Mini-Stocks. The first green flag is set to wave this Friday at 8pm.

TSS Drivers – make sure you’ve read all the information under the Drivers/Rules link at www.raceTSS.com – which will make your evening more enjoyable. Mandatory pre-entry for the sprint cars closes on Wednesday night at the same link. The draw-cutoff/drivers meeting is slated for 6:45pm, with hot laps at 7:30pm and racing at 8pm. The TSS drivers list will be posted after pre-entry closes on Wednesday night.

Monarch Motor Speedway is located about 4 miles west of I-44 in Wichita Falls on Hwy 287, then head north about 3/4 mile on FM369. Monarch Motor Speedway 7300 Kiel Lane Wichita Falls, TX. Click www.MMSdirt.com for track info.

In 2020, the Texas Sprint Series has coordinated our schedule with the Sprint Car Bandits series and would like to thank them for handling the scheduling process between all of the tracks in the area so race fans and teams don't have to pick or choose 'which' winged sprint car series to watch - as on any given night in 2020, there are no overlapping Texas Sprint Series or Sprint Car Bandits series events. This way race fans, teams, sponsors and tracks ALL WIN! We'd also like to thank our series marketing partners, as with their help we're able to bring teams, fans and tracks this awesome series! Please click their links below & be sure to thank them for their support!

THANK YOU to all the teams, fans, marketing partners, series workers, track workers, series tracks and vendors for their support of the Texas Sprint Series throughout the years, and we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge our marketing partners at this point going into the 2020 season:

Hey Darin, just out of curiosity is there a limitation on how many seats they can sell at Monarch?   Not really curious for this event since I'll be in Tulsa this weekend.   I am eyeing Monarch for the ASCoC event in June.   What about Kilgore?    Thanks!

DSW-

Both tracks will be in the '50%' capacity in June the way it looks now, which will essentially be what we're doing right now: every other row of the stands is closed.

They each have plenty of seating and should be able to accommodate the crowds.

At Monarch I've got the programming all done for advance discount ticket sales which I highly HIGHLY recommend you do - as besides the fact they're $2 cheaper, advance ticket holders get in to the stands 1/2 hour before the gates open.

Click www.MMSdirt.com to get yours. They'll be on sale while supplies last, or up to the day before the race.

Thanks Darin, will be discussing this further with the other guys in my "gang".    Ideally I'd like to hit both but probably can't do it so it'll be one or the other.    DSW
