What’s a perfect way to wrap up a stellar 2007 racing season? The answer is, with the November Sprint Shootout presented by Commercial Music and Short Track Shootout presented by DarinShort.com at Cowtown Speedway on November 9-10! Here’s the scoop:

- $5000/win for ASCS type sprint cars in the November Sprint Shootout
- $1000/win for ASCS type sprint cars in the Short Track Shootout
- $2000/win for Cowtown modifieds
- $1000/win for both mini-sprints and limited modifieds

And what can top that? You’ll get to see it all for a $25 2-day grandstand pass, if you purchase it at
www.CowtownSpeedway.com by November 4! The 2-day pass will also allow you to purchase up to (2) pieces of apparel in the Cowtown apparel stand for $5 off advertised prices.

The inaugural November Sprint Shootout (NSS) will bring together many of the best ASCS-type sprint car drivers in the country at Cowtown’s super-fast, high-banked ¼ mile track, gunning for a $5000 payday in the 35-lap championship feature event. For complete NSS info, including advance tickets and pre-registration, please go to
www.cowtownspeedway.com/sprintNOV.html . Drivers are currently entered from as far away as South Dakota, Minnesota and Indiana; plus a strong contingent of regional drivers.

The inaugural Short Track Shootout (STS) will field the top 4 drivers in overall points from I-30 Speedway’s Short Track Nationals and the NSS into a 6-lap dash for $1000/win, with $500-$300-$200 awaiting the 2nd-4th place finishers. For complete point standings and rules going into the STS, please visit
www.darinshort.com/shootout.html . The winner of the STS will also receive a special marble and porcelain award from DarinShort.com commemorating their achievement.

There’s even more going on for race fans than racing at Cowtown on NSS weekend. Action T-Shirts of Dallas is preparing the event t-shirt (artwork can be viewed at CowtownSpeedway.com). J&J Promotions from Kansas City will be offering their extensive line of die cast sprint cars, apparel and more.

Not to be forgotten, the always exciting Cowtown modifieds will be slugging it out for $2000/win. Top drivers throughout the region will be on hand.

Wrapping up the weekend racing card will be full fields in both the winged mini-sprints and limited modifieds. Each class will be gunning for $1000 to win in their championship events.

If you can’t take advantage of the 2-day passes, you will be able to purchase tickets for each night separately, with Friday’s show at $15 for adults and Saturday’s at $20. Hope to see you all there!

Between the track and its website, driver entries have now come in from throughout the region, including: SD, IN, MN, NM, OK & TX.

After practice on Thursday, we'll put together a list of drivers at the event. Right now we're expecting between 45-60 sprint cars, plus full fields in the Modified, Winged Mini-Sprint & Limited Modified divisions.

The weather is also still looking good, with highs daily in the 75-80 degree range, with little or no precip projected.

:)

Attention Racers competing on Nov. 9th & 10th @ Cowtown Spdwy

All Modifieds, Sims Limited Modifieds, Mini Sprints and Sprint race teams that will be racing on November 9th & 10th at Cowtown Speedway presented by Commercial Music are asked to complete a driver profile that is found at the following web site......

www.track-announcer.com

Simply click on "PROFILE" and complete the form and then click on send. This profile will be sent to the track announcers that will be announcing the event. This is a great way to let the fans know a little more about you and even some free advertising possibilities for your ever so important sponsors. If you have already completed a driver profile earlier this year through the COWTOWN RACEWAY WEB SITE OR ANY OTHER PROFILE COLLECTION SOURCE ( Other than the track-announcer.com site ), you THEN NEED TO DO THIS AGAIN. Please go to www.track-announcer.com and complete the profile form if you have not already.

Chris Wright will be your announcer on Saturday night. I ( Douglas Rollo ) will be announcing on Friday night in substitution for your announcer Chris. ( He has prior commitments. ) I look forward to announcing to all the fans at this great raceway and and for the great fans in attendence.

Thank you drivers for completing a profile form and we will see everyone this weekend.

If you'd like to take advantage of paying by credit/debit card online to the November Sprint Shootout 11/9-10 at Cowtown Speedway; today (11/6) is the deadline.

It's simple and quick; and gives you a lot better chance of having 'your' car number by entering before most others.

Just go to www.CowtownSpeedway.com then click on '$5000 to win sprints' link to get all set up.

The Cowtown Format for November Sprint Shootout ( www.cowtownspeedway.com ):

Friday Draw for heat races.

Up to 40 Cars 4 Heats
41-70 cars 6 Heats
71-90 cars 8 heats

Race procedure:
Friday Draw for position. Heat race finishes line up Qualifiers. (Maximum 20 cars per Qualifier) All cars transfer from heat to Qualifier.

We will qualify 6 cars for Sat A-Main with up to 60 cars we will qualify 8 cars if we have more than 60 cars.

(60 or less) If we have 1 Qualifier we will take the first 6 cars, 2 Qualifiers we will take the top 3, 3 qualifiers we will take the top 2

(80 or more) We will take the top 2 from each qualifier with 4 qualifiers more than four qualifiers we will take the winner of each qualifier

NO RE-DRAW

Friday’s Qualifiers will line up Saturday’s Last chance races. All new cars Sat will start behind qualified last chance cars from Friday.

Heat race Laps 8
Qualifiers 20 laps
Last chance Qualifiers 15 laps
A-Mains

Must be there both nights for Non-Qualifying Money.

Cars are headed to Cowtown from AR-LA-OK-TX-IL-NE-KS-MN-SD-NM right now; plus the weather's got the 'ALL CLEAR and in the 80's' from NWS, so we're going to have a fun weekend of racing.

There's also some real crazy travel deals still out there if you're still on 'the fence' including a flight and hotel for $175/person from LIT to DFW! OKC to DFW for $199 including flight/hotel. Believe it or not, you can even get the non-stop flight from Des Moines to DFW and a hotel for under $300/person! KC-DFW is $229/person for flight/hotel & STL-DFW is $171 per person for flight/hotel - and that's crazy!

Find 'em at www.Travelocity.com then click 'last minute deals' on the upper right side of page and there are several flight/hotel/car combo's available.

Other city pairs are also available for a heck of a deal too!

Smile
