You mean fifteen out of the twenty-four car field that piled up before they entered turn one that blocked the whole track? The one where those two who got sideways and were just sitting there as everybody else came down the front stretch full-throttle and kept crashing into the pile?
I have NEVER seen anything like that and I have been to alot of races at different tracks throughout the surrounding states. Amazing that nobody got hurt. The infield looked like a junk yard with sheet metal galore up by the flagstand.

Well Sozo, they are actually called "outlaw/Street" but they called them late models toward the end of the year I believe. There were late model looking cars but not our mama's type ot late models. They also had full-bodied modifieds competing in the class too.
Ronny, nothing could have been done. Just a car got sideways coming down the front stretch and the person behind him made contact, everybody was all bunched together and nobody anywhere to go. The guys at the back seemed to still be full throttle and they couldn't go anywhere.
It was a bad deal and yes, alot of torn up equipment but there are three positives. 1) End of the season so they have time to rebuild. 2) Nobody was hurt and there could have seriously been somebody or several 3) There could have very easily been a fire that nobody would have seen as the fuel tanks could have exploded.

There was some good racing at Ardmore last weekend, they had 209 cars show up and got to see some of the TSS division (sprinters with 305's). Congrats to Randy Timms and Shawn Jorski for the wins in there divisions.
