A Few Observations:

The place is fast and when things go wrong , it is usually not pretty. Between the 2 ASCS B Main Starts some 16 cars involved in the melee's between the 2 races from the wrecks on the start.

The older generation can still get it done: Wright wins the Big Prize (ASCS Motor) and Peters makes a great run to win the Super Sprint A Sat. night.

The Burritos and Nachos are still the best around , Very Tasty and Ice Tea is on the menu.

Biggest Crowd at the Bowl Sat. night for a Winter Nat.show that I have seen since the early 90's when the WoO use to pay a visit.

Smiley's new place in Mesquite is quite nice and very BIG , guess money is to be made in the race parts business or they have a hell of a banker.

Thought Cheese might get into the A Sat. night for his first time drive at Da Bowl but missed it by one spot.

One last thing: Dallas traffic still sucks and the 635 construction makes it even worse, although we may have found an alternate route to Da Bowl via the Belt Line Expressway , sure beat the hell out of the 635 Parking lot on Friday afternoon.

I agree JD. It is a good thing Peters didn't go to Lawton or he might have won all 3 winternationals. Is Beltline a straight shot to I-80? I thought about it and wished we would have when it took us over 45 minutes to go 5 miles on 635 saturday. Looked for you guys after the races but never saw ya.

Yes David it is a straight shot and outside of one construction deal at Skillman and Beltline in Garland it took us around 35 min. to go from Beltline and Hwy. 75 to the Motel at Hwy. 80 and Beltline, will do that until they at least get 635 without construction. It does change street names when you go through Richardson and Garland but just stay on it and it will take you straight to Hwy. 80 and miss all the BS of 635.

We sat up top in the south Bleachers right next to the reserved section, seen the Crash in Friday nights Super Sprint Qualifier , was right in front of us and simply amazing.

Yey I bet Peters wishes the season to continue , he would win a few more I would bet , he is in that zone of winning, Catchin the breaks and being in the right place on the track in traffic and that great thing called LUCK too, It must be a SWEET Zone and would like to experience that zone someday,LOL

I was wanting 5 more laps, Lee would have had a good shot at 2nd rather than 5th

Tell us about the crash. If you say it was amazing, it must have been kinda ugly.

Ditto, there was one in a full-bodied class at Ardmore. What about the one in the sprints?

Ugly is 9 cars piled up entering turn 1 , been a while since I seen that many piled up , kind of looked like Nascar wreck at Talladega, Cars spinning sideways, cars slamming into cars , cars flipping and then all came to a stop in Turn 1 with cars stacked on top of each other, quite a deal and then you think that could not happen again and well Turn 4 in the second B and about 7 involved in that one, Hebing the 45 sprinter from NY landed on his lid on top of the front straight wall coming out of Turn 4. The 20 car Eric Lutz got Danny J. sideways and if he just would of backed out of the gas, it might have saved Danny a top wing and getting on his side ,but I guess things are happening fast and well that did'nt happen , the second wreck was not as bad as the first one ,but tell that to all involved in it and they might tell you it was bad enough on the pocket book.

I agree Sheila, Lee was moving foward there at the end .Car was getting a great drive coming off of 4.

I heard about the Late Model pile up from Chris, Said they were piled on top of each other pretty good.

Toughest deal of the whole night might have been the #11 Super Sprint flipped off turn 1 and went in many gyrations way out to the fence of the back pits and well down in there pit in the in field they had just fired up the Grill to cook some Steaks and other items and had the ol Grill fired up nicely and well they crashed and brought the car back on the hook and the party was over , the fire on the Grill was quickly extinguished and they (Crew) just stood around and looked at the very bent up car and then loaded it and the Barby and the fun was over.

Those were both bad. The 45 Hebing car was very lucky. The cage came down on that car and it could have been much worse. Long way from New York. The upside is I hooked him up with a good deal on some new wings for the trip home.

Yey David , He landed in about the best place he could considering the circumstances, land on the concrete wall and possibility of his head slamming the concrete wall and if he lands on the track a chance of someone slammin into him there.

Yep long way home to the Northeast, He probably has included you on his Christmas Card list now.

How bout the McCommas-Dunn deal in the Modified Feature, thought there might be a riot in the infield there for a moment and the crowd cheers wildly after McCommas run his car up under Dunn's and spun him out. Just a little Hate and Discontent in the Modified world at Da Bowl.

Missed most of the mod deal. Back in the back pits when we heard the crowd so we went to investigate. Wish I could have gone friday also.
