A friend gave this to me off of one of his race cars in case I needed it for the 68 Camaro I'm building. It was working fine when he took it off, but I am using a wet-sump system in the car and can't use it.
I know it is a Barnes unit, but I have never touched a dry sump system before and I have no idea if it is 3-stage, 4-stage, hypermumu-stage, whatever.
Can someone clue me in on some details and what it might be worth? I listed it for $400 seeing that new 3-stages for for about $1000. Is that a fair price?
I build musclecars and wasn't getting much help from those guys, they suggested I checked a Sprint car forum to see if you guys might be able to help me out. I just need to know what I'm selling someone. I need to move this thing so I can buy the rear suspension setup on the 68 Camaro I'm building for my bro-in-law in Iraq.
Check out http://www.patriotdream.org if you guys want to see the car we're building, too.

I just was told by a guy on another Sprint board that it is a 5-stage unit worth about $600-$800. :)

It is for sure a 6 stage and will be tough to make work on a dirt sprint car. This is pretty much what is used on most of the Nascar Cup cars and some high end drag cars or anything that has room for it . The mounting bracket will determine its application and chevy or ford where and how it mounts, could be lower left, lower right or even what they call a bert mount used by late models that mount to the transmission .. hope this helps
