Garner made a visit to the work area on the parade lap and restarted at the tail. Dover jumped out to an early lead in the 15 lapper. She was trailed by Phillips until he used moisture on the low side of turns one and two to take the lead on lap five. Meanwhile, S. Alexander was forging forward, using the low side. By lap eight, he was in third and by lap 10, he had blown by the leaders in traffic to grab his first Knoxville win.
