Hello!
I just returned from Boston and I wanted to post a recap on my 2007 fundraising efforts for the Susan G. Komen Foundation Race for the Cure. Komen is an organization that is dear to me because breast cancer has taken many of my friends and family in the past few years. Every year, I form a team to participate in the Race for the Cure in Boston in September and we spend most of our summer raising money and raising awareness for breast cancer.
Many of you followed the link that was in my signature and either made donations or contacted me with words of encouragement or offers to help. I appreciate your support very much.
My team's total for 2007 will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $95,000. We are still waiting for the final tally, which won't come until November or so, but it has clearly been a record-setting year for us. This could not have happened without the generosity of my dear friends and the occasional stranger who believes in my cause. I feel very humbled to have so many kind and caring people in my life, online and offline.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
