JDsprint and I saw that car when it was almost new! I meant the car was a roller! It only needed an engine.
So you mean they built a Titanium framed sprinter in 1987? We were told it was aluminum but that may have been misinformation. Laverne was talking about titanium and was holding a 10-10 coupler. I asked to hold it and he said NO!LOL
Could you get a picture of this car? If I recall it looked something like this-

I still long for a frame of this design, even if it is 4130. I prefer "100 but anything will do. I have found they were made starting in 1986 as opposed to '87 which I previously stated. Gilmore made copies of these frames and I would be just as happy to have either. I believe these were the prettiest of the modern/traditonal open wheel designs.

Brian , There was a Alum. frame that Nance built, but I believe Shane Carson has it, I thought he got it when Nance had there sellout , that was a Ti frame that we saw at Laverne's house/shop in Ks., I remember him saying the Alum. frame was deemed illegal and unsafe and he also said he wanted to keep that Ti frame for restoration sometime in the future if I remember correctly, I can call someone who has a 89 Nance Sprint Frame with the Mid Rail design that is almost like the pic you have, the car is bent from a crash back in 92 and not sure about anything else on it, it is down in Southeastern Okla. , also you going to Ada this weekend can bring those spindles/hubs for the 6 pin wheels , tired of tripping over them now,LOL, give me a call this week.

Shane does have this frame and he is eventually going to restore it. He drove this car a couple of times and at the BOWL the torsion tubes broke so they tied them back up with hose clamps. If your looking for a 100" Nance frame if you could find the one Stan Constant had in '86-'87 it was one of the best handling 100" cars there were only a few built to that configureation ( EWELL,J. JOHNSON,HOWARD THE DUCK&maybe CRAWFORD) had these special split offset tube cars I know NANCE played around with it alot they may not have all been the same either. Stan's car Carroll told me he thought was the best compromise and I can tell you from what I saw it was fast on any track condition. I wanted to build a offset split tube GAMBLER or JR car but I couldn't get them interested.

Here's the titanium frame and it was built in 1992. It was supposed to be the last Nance House Car. It was owned by Mike Evans of Georgetown TX up until a couple of years ago. He sold it to someone in Wichita and it has been restored is what I'm told. We had it on the site when Mike was wanting to sell it.

The frame we saw was in '87. I know we went through Wichita and on to Huch.
