i said it in another thread and i'll sat it again about the pushing aside of woo teams to make room for nst teams.it is about someone making a commitment. the woo teams from last year all made a commitment to dirt to run with them.it is not about what you did last year or how you finished.nst teams could have signed up with woo if they wanted to before the kinser / roth teams made their plans public. how many nst teams signed with dirt before all this stuff happened? they had the same opportunity that the woo teams from last year had. the signing deadline for both series was nov 15.
lets say wright one const. looses some employees to a competing const. co. and they hire some of you fine people to work for them. then the competing const. co. foldes and the people who left want to come back. ok. so wright one throws you fine people out who helped keep them in business to make room for the jerks that left.sound ok to everyone? please send your resume to DIMWITS FOR HIRE

The WoO website says ALL 16 full time 2006 teams are already signed for 2007.
From the website:
"During the 2006 World of Outlaws season, 16 teams toured the country full-time with the series. All of those teams once again have signed on with the World of Outlaws for the 2007 season, which begins in February at Volusia Speedway Park.
"We’re extremely pleased that 100 percent of the teams from this past season will be racing with us again in 2007," said World of Outlaws Series Director Carlton Reimers. "It takes a lot of sacrifice to make it up and down the road as a member of the World of Outlaws, but I think it says a lot about the character of the owners, drivers and crews that they all are coming back for more next season."

Hawker: Your buddy Howard Schrock (LOS) must not think having S.K. was a prerequisite for having a successful WoO race as he booked 2 shows for 2007 MONTHS before S.K. announced er ..... I mean Quaker State demanded that he come back. What other track do you "shill" for that would inform you of their business plans (like not having the Outlaws) ..... will you please share it with the group?

If an illegal working in construction goes back to Mexico for the winter, does that effect his work status if he comes back in the spring when work picks up ?

Support your local track not the traveling (WOO) circus. Go to Barnum & Bailey and see a better show.

There is no doubt that the DIRT boys are thrilled to have Kinser & Lasoski back as it will help to put additional butts in the seats. If the rest of the NST drivers come back, the WoO will have a banner year in terms of attendance. I think DIRT will "create" a way to get all the drivers back and help them with some sort of tow money because it is in their best interest to do so. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and do what is best for your company. I am a business owner myself and I make decisions based on what is best for my bottom line, not based on what I think is a popular decision or not a popular decision. If DIRT is smart, they will put aside their egos and make it possible for ALL the NST drivers to come back. Will they offend some of their current teams? Sure they will! Will they offend some of promoters who supported them? Sure they will! Will it put more butts in the seats over the course of 2007? YOU BET IT WILL!

Sprintfreak, who's egos are you talking about, huh? It was the egos of Steve, Danny and the likes that sent them on to a new job anyway, lol. How 'bout the NST boys do it the old fashioned way, they EARN their money at the racetrack with RESULTS.
Still waiting to here Hawker's response to azteca, hmmm?
Take It Easy......

MSPN,
I am not saying that DIRT has done anything wrong here, what I am saying is that they have the opportunity to make the most of a "leveraged" situation. Their ego may say, make all the NST teams race as outsiders in 2007, but the smart thing business wise would be to make it possible to bring all the team back into the fold. Whether they are smart enough to do that or not is up to the powers that be. I am just saying that they are sitting on a golden egg. Are they going to nurture it and hatch something ($$$) golden, or push it out of the nest and watch it continue to die? That is all.
I agree with you that Steve, Danny, and all the NST teams were the ones who left, but that still wouldn't stop a smart company from doing what is best for everyone, would it?

Don't believe me? Give HS a call and ask him, he's not hard to get ahold of. As far as the 2007 WoO dates, the last I spoke with HS (two weeks ago) he informed me that he had not signed any contracts yet.
