Prior planning prevents poor performance.
Sounds like SFS could use a dose of that philosophy. It's amazing how people can run things in the racing business. Wouldn't last 10 minutes anywhere else. It's a good thing there are plenty of us love-sick idiots to put up with it. The radios are a good idea and the shows at SFS have been in disarray for too long when it comes to lining up cars. But the idea could have gone from good to great if it had been implemented last September.
"I'd pay $15 to watch a sprint car sit still."

Here's an interesting question, do you think these radios will be serialized and registered to to a certain race team? I'm assuming that an individual can use one radio if he or her was running two classes. But what would stop the same enterprising individual or individuals, to let (or rent) his or her radio to another team or class car because they won't be running at the same time?
Just food for thought or something to ruminate on. Could be a cost cutting answer. The plot thickens.

Pretty simple , a checklist from all registered drivers. If your not on the list as having bought one, you won't get to race or you rent one.

Just curious here, but what would stop someone that is very sharp electronically to modify their radio so it had two channels in it? Then said person could also talk to their driver from the stands or pits. I know there is some people that attend SFS that is smart enough to do this.

Now that would be considered cheating, wouldn't it? I guess only if you got caught. LOL
The drama continues at SFS. LOL

It depend on unit, I already figure out a btter way. Use a cell phone with remote ear piece already installed in helmet.
That's my Opinion and I'm stick'en to it.
