Ifs and buts being what they are !!!!
The rules are what got OU to the title game.
What if the refs woulda go it right on the two late hit penatlies that kept the drives alive for Texas?
What if Reynolds was still on the field in the second half?
What if Texas had caught the interception late in the Tech game?
What if Texas' defense could have stopped Tech on that last drive?
Answer to all those....It don't matter. It is what it is. Refer to second sentence.
I remember in ( I think 2003) when Ou beat Texas, lost to, Maybe it was A&M, and Texas loses at the title game to Colorado. They all mouthed off about that to. I was at the title game rooting for Colorado. One Texas fan says to us "OU SUCKS" and we responded by saying,"beat you didn't they". So Everyone, refer back to the 2nd sentence and Root for whoever you want in their bowl game.

I guess my whole point was I'm just sick of hearing what some of the SOONER FANS say.... wow, there are alot of idiots out there... don't need to tie any of them to our state!!!! LOL

If Texas was so great, why did they allow Texas Tech to even be in the game in the first place? OU blew them out, why couldn't Texas? As I have said all along, I don't feel that any of the THREE teams, Texas Tech, OU or Texas, had a gripe about it if they were not the one in the title game. You want a sure thing, than the best thing you can do is win, win, just win, baby. Even that is not a sure thing, but at least then you have a legitimate gripe.

I wish we were playing Texas for the National Championship, so that we could put an end to all this. Texas beat us one game on one particular day. Play the same game 10 times and I bet you'd get 5-10 different results. Does it mena Texas is better than OU? I don't think so! I believe it was Vince Lombardi (and he was referring to the NFL, but it fits), who said " on any given day, any team in the NFL can do anything! Too bad they can't figure out some kind of a multi-game playoff system, but for now, the system we have is what we have. And using the system
we have OU is playing Florida for the National Championship, if you're a Texas fan, you don't
have to like it, but you can stop complaining any time now.

I think OU may have a shot at revenge on Boise State this year...the Gators are another story...
Skeesiks, while you are doing ifs and buts: "What if OU was in any other conference in the Nation using their tiebreakers?" Answer: Texas would be playing for the National title...
Congrats to Sam, I think he's great and his great supporting class helped him...but Billy was over the top!

Yah, One I didn't think of. But wasn't thinking about other conferences either. Just Big 12. None-the-less, good point. Then again, OU would probably be the opponent, don't you think. Cause I believe they would've been 12-0 if they were in another conference. But that's ifs and buts all over again. LOL

CONGRATS to the SOONERS and Sam Bradford!!!!
I was never bashing them at all, I believe that OU is the best team in the country right now and should win another national championship!!!
It would have been awesome, for everyone, had the BCS put the longhorns in that game.
