Not sure why all the complaining about pay. I see the URSS pays $400 to win. Maybe the NCRA car will be more expensive? Just wondering.

commenting as a fan, and only as a fan. i can see the problem that another new class creates. watering down an already thin car base is not what the sport needs, we do not need any new classes for any of the race cars in oklahoma....you already have sprints, super sprints, limited sprints, champ sprints. mods, e-mods, b-mods, a-mods, sportmods, limited mods, super mods, street stocks, factory stocks, super stocks, late models, limited late models, , ans several different versions of the pure stock, as well as some i have forgotten plus the 5 or 6 classes of micros. any good bartender knows that if you keep watering the
drinks-the drinks will eventually stop selling

We're racers..lol.
Seriously, the pay could go up some but that's a whole new can of worms. I'm not even disagreeing with them starting a new series depending on where they are going to run geographically. OK and TX seem to be almost all Racesaver for the 305's KS is predominantly URSS. The problem will mostly come from trying to overlap them. There just aren't that many cars. "Watering the drinks" as the previousposter put it. I'm mostly curious to see how this works out over the winter. I don't really see NCRA doing a lot in KS but I could be wrong.
I dig this, a civilized discussion! That almost never happens any more...lol.

Just wondering if any of the top 5 in points at SFS or OCRS for the 2008 season would sell there motor complete from Pan to Carb used and as is, minus fuel pump for $5,500.
Also wondering if any of the top 5 in URSS Nat. Pts. in 2008 season or the SST Top 5 from say last 2 races at Ardmore,Ok. and Grand Prarie, Tx. (Since SST has no pts. standings) would sell their motors from Pan to Injectors used and as is minus Fuel Pump for $5,500.
Wonder how many sellers there would be?

19 hrs. and no responses , very interesting.
one other point on Oct. 4th 3 tracks ran 2 bar. sprints that night Lawton Winter Nat. , Brill Motor Speedway Fall Nat. both paid a $1,000 to win and a $100 to start and Lawton had 18 cars and Brill had 17 cars.
Yet Creek Co. paying $500 to win and $75 to start gets 22 cars on that night and the night before on Oct. 3rd and OCRS show at Outlaw paying a $1,000 to win and $225 to start only 17 cars.
Cheapest pay wins on car count.

Not quite a true picture, out of the 22 cars at creek that night, 14 were OCRS regulars....and by the way in response to your above question, I spoke to Danny Smith 5$ the other night and he told me he was freshening his OCRS motor because it had 55 shows on it but don't think he would sell it for $5500.00.

Rollout , Thanks for the response begining to get a little worried there, just going by the numbers on the nights of Oct. 3rd and 4th , Point is more cars showed up for a $500 to win show than for $1,000 to win shows on the same night and weekend.
Also just the answer I thought, NO ONE with a 2 bar. motor in the top 5 in pts. would sell it used for $5,500 , 25 , 50 or how many ever shows, but get on the Racing junk , Hoseheads and there is a plethera of 305 motors for around $5,500 complete pan to injectors and with a fuel pump , drop in and go race.
Point is 2 Bar. runs for $500 to win and $60 to $100 to start right now at weekly shows and cost of motors to run in top 5 in pts. say at least $15,000 and on up.
SST which is pretty established series now runs for $400 to $500 to win and I believe $200 to start and I would bet you could go build a competitive motor for $5,000 to $6,000.
So 15,000 2 Bar. for $500 to win or a good 305 for say $6,000 for $500 to win, really not sure what the gripe of low pay and jokin about this NCRA 305 class, Hell we been running for low pay and motors cost for a 2 Bar are through the roof and I really , really doubt they go down anytime soon.

Oh Yey , one other thing , Don't have a top 5 in pts. car (Actually 24th in pts.) but would sell my motor for $5,500 ,Pan to Carb and even throw in the DSR Fuel Pump and motor stand for transportation and even put a BIG Ol Bow on it (you can even pick the color).

Minus injectors I probably would. The injectors and mag are big part of the overall cost. How many stock car guys will sell their motor for $5500 top to bottom..
