At this point,I think most sprintcar fans expect Gravel to be the WoO 2026 champ and Rico to be the H-L champ. Sure, you can say it will be Gravel vs. Kofoid and Macedo, or Rico vs. Reutzel and the world. End results are probably going to be about the same.

This year, I think more of the excitement will come from the spoilers. The spoilers are the guys that are going to do well enough to muddy up the point standings for the champions.  In the WoO, I think the spoilers are Schatz and Haudenschild. In H-L, I think the spoilers are Larson, Day, and Timms. What do you think?

I think the non WoO/hl teams  Larson Day Timms Macri Bacon 69k could/will/already have spoiled races and will continue to for each series.  Potentially Brown Dietrich also.  Always good to see a non touring driver win. Already have 2 each series. Makes it interesting for sure.

Oof! I doesn't look like Daison Pursley will be in the spoilers group.

I agree with you about Macri and DeWeese in PA, and east of the Mississippi for that matter. I had forgotten about California. Beside McFadden and Sweet (the guy that retired :) )are there other west coast guys that can spoil things?

There is also some guy named Tanner Throson who was lurking in the shadows in the past, but has now jumped to the front of the contenders for a championship!  There's a spoiler for you.

I was kind of thinking of the non full time travelers as spoilers myself.   Thorson is a high roller that will do well this season for sure with hl

Yea Gravel and Warner will probably win barring a huge run of bad luck. Of the 2, id say Warner has a better chance to be beaten.

Im just curious to see if Warner finally gets a crown jewel  post donny as donny has multiple post warner.  This may finally be the year Rico gets his first?   Points wise Gravel is best right now and would win both by a large margin. Rico Ruetzel Courtney Thorson Scelzi are in that 2nd tier (like macedo kofoid Sheldon schuchardt schatz)  and will be interesting to see how that championship and 2nd for WoO shakes out.  Going to be a good season if the 15 or so races nationally so far are any indication

My thought of 'muddy up the point standings' would be racers that aren't in the title chase for first place, but occasionally take the points from one of the front runners. For example, let's say that Rico and Ruetzel are neck and neck for the points lead. Then, in a feature race one of them wins and the other comes in 5th because Larson, Day and Timms charged into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Obviously, the season is very early and the usual fast cars will get their share of wins. But Chase Dietz has looked like the fastest car in central PA thus far with two wins and two second place finishes.

I think Reutzel can be the spoiler and also muddy up things.

does anyone that posts here read what they are saying

first of all larson day run nascar an are not on tour

sweet is running a smaller schedule and is not on tour

macri is only going to run the big money races outside of a Pa

Brown is not on tour

Detrick is only going to run big races too

No one is going to touch Gravel unless he has a MAJOR let down which i doubt

High Limit at this point seems to be Pretty equal at this time so its going to be fun to watch

The best part of this all is that we the fans get to sit back and watch it all unwind

great year for sprint car racing

You may have missed the point.   No one is saying those guys will win the points but will steal some points here and there, play spoiler.

The implication is that if everyone is going to name one person from a " race team" im naming ricky warner for  tsr becausee he is the a bigger reason for the success of that team than the driver.
