1. DD
2. Peck
3. Marks
4. Macri
5. I doubt Rahmer will be at all the races, so I'll say it'll be Wolfe?? someone who runs the whole week.

Good choices. However I believe DD will struggle to get a grip on the Port surface. Yea I wasn's sure about Rahmer either. I am not sure Wolfe will run all 10 races.

Ya, I'm not sure who all will run the 10, maybe another invader?? Reinhardt?? Not sure, it'll be fun just seeing who shows each race, but those top 4 and Rahmer at Lilncoln and Dewease whereever he goes should be the favorites?? Larson at the 4 he goes to. Wagners at Port, Halligan good runs at Port and a couple more??? will be good 10 days.

It all comes down to who can time trial the best every night.

It'll help especially the tracks that get 36-42 cars.

Marks
Macri
Peck
DD
Ryan Smith
i believe ryan is running the whole speedweek schedule. he's had a quiet year so far but typically time trials well and keeps himself out of trouble.
i like marks a little more than macri right now. it could be a really good battle though. macri has proven he can run well at lincoln and some of the smaller tracks. hopefully dd can keep up the momentum from ohio speedweek. he seems to run a little better out there than he does here and kept up the good finishes throughout the week. there are a few teams at or close to the top of their games which should make things pretty interesting.

Speedweek contenders
1. Marks/Macri - Both are at the top of there game.
2. Dietrich/Peck - Only a very small step behind.
3. After that it depends who runs the whole week.
4. One of the 4 above will be your speedweek champ.
But if you are going to ask me in what order the top 5 will be.
1. Macri
2. Marks
3. Peck
4. Dietrich.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Runs better out there? He was 2nd in Ohio speedweek last year but won PA speedweek last year. You are saying 2nd in ohio speedweek is tougher than 1st in PA speedweek which there is merit to that.

Pretty good picks, seems consnsous on the the top 4, just the order different for most so far. I didn't put Macri 1st only because I think he is most likely for a couple DNFs. He could win the most of the 10 races but still get 3/4 in points with a couple 20-24th places between wall bites or not knowing cars are next to him etc.... Gonna be good week. Doubt they will get the counts Ohio did (40.4 per race), and definately won't get the number going to all the shows Ohio did (17) but will be good for PA for sure.

You could say that about any one of these 4. They all could have at least one DNF. It is very difficult to stay on top of your game for 10 straight days.
1. Macri - When in PA, he is the fastest car. The driver to beat.
2. Marks - Is pretty fast no matter where he races. He seems to do a little better outside of PA right now.
3. Peck - Pretty fast no matter where he goes.
4. Dietrich - Fast during the feature. He needs to TT good all the time though.

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I'm picking Macri, clearly the up & coming Posse driver
Closely followed by Marks, DD, & Peck, in no particular order
Dewease & Larson when they show up!
& thanks for Larson info..... I'm thinking about Monday & Tuesday, short tracks, smaller crowds....
I'd love to see Macri beat Larson in a barn burner duel! :)

Macri has given Larson some good runs when he was less experienced than he is now. Larson has put guys in positions where they have to lift or get wrecked. He will have to keep in mind that Macri doesn't lift to allow someone to pass him. It is sort of like On Sat. Night of the Weikert race and they had the caution four laps to go with Dewease leading. I said to guy next to me,"this where Macri will do what Bob Weikert always wanted his drivers to do, win it or wreck trying". That night he won it but can do either.

i forget he won speedweek last year so we're probably splitting hairs. ultimately he runs well in both places.
but...he won twice in ohio this year and has a win each of the last 2 years if i'm seeing the web site right. i think it's cool he can show up at places he doesn't run regularly and win...so it sticks in my brain. it's against the all stars no less. he didn't have any wins during pa speedweek last year.
i also forgot to mention his 2nd place run at the king's royal. amazing stuff.

11 of the 17 were allstars. If Pa Speedweek was all star sanctioned, car counts most likely would be well into the 40's.
