My thoughts and prayers for the injured Men and their families.....With respect for all of these folks this thread needs to be removed and any threads related to this incident should be closely monitored........God's speed....

This is a terrible accident and our family wishing these guys the best. Sending some positive Charma from our family along with a prayer.

For any of the comments being made by people who truly do not know Travis or Tyson, here is some enlightenment from Travis' youngest cousin that has grown up looking up to Travis as a role model. YES they may not have done the brightest thing in the world, but many people would say the same about racing in general. Did you ever think about the old school guys who used to race with no roll cage or helmets?! YES they will be lucky to keep their "nuts", but they will also be lucky to stay alive, walk, or live a normal life. I dont think these people realize how serious this situation is. YES they wouldnt want people lashing out at eachother, Travis is one of the nicest people out there who has given people opportunities, jobs, technical racing support, a place to stay when in need, even home cooked meals from him and his wife, who has opened her heart and home to so many people. If you knew the men like I do, you would understand how insensitive your comments are. One of my first races to work with Tyson was at the Devil's bowl, and during the A-main a car pulled in with a flat. Seeing his crew member running on foot to get a tire, and knowing how far away their trailer was, Tyson told me "come on, we are gonna get that guy taken care of" I responded asking who it was, as if Tyson must know the guy to want to help him out. Tyson replies "I have no clue, but he needs help, and we are here watching". So think about that when you are wanting to comment about Tyson. HE needs help, and we are all here watching the internet waiting for news. Giving kind words of encouragement might just be what he needs to get back out there and finish his A-main(Life) on the lead lap. For any of you who want updates, please see my facebook page. Thanks

Not that anybody would care, here are a few of my thoughts.....................granted, what they did was not the smartest thing ever and we all know that but how many of us have ever done anything in the search for a good time that we later on come to regret. That being said, I'm utterly amazed or, shocked, at the lack of human compassion that some of you dickheads have (you know who you are). My God, these guys are literally fighting for their lives and you shit on them. What the fuck is with you assholes?? Sorry for the language but the rant calls for it. The only thing thing I can say to you assholes is if, God forbid, something serious ever happens to you or a family member, I hope people show you more compassion that you obviously are capable of or all the neighborhood dogs will be pissing on your legs. Damn.........................

Well said. Travis and Tyson are going to have to live with the pain and suffering of their mistake for the rest of their lives.....is that not enough? Please keep this forum for words of encouragement and positive thoughts and prayers, god knows they need us all to stay strong, positive and united for them and their families. Keep fighting boys xoxox

I've been watching Travis race for years now, I have never met and do not know who Tyson is, but I feel sorry for them and I hope they get through this okay. Now on to the turn that this thread has taken. It is an unfortunate thing what happened, but let's face it folks, it was no accident. If this was a "normal" news article or something in a chain email like the "Darwin awards", most of you who are on here tossing about the threats to other members of this forum would be making the same comments or worse, as those that you threaten. Like I said, I hope nothing but the best for Travis and Tyson in their recovery, but when you do something like this, no matter what the outcome is, you should be prepared to have people question your intelligence. If I had heard of someone doing this "stunt" successfully and NOT getting hurt, I would call them a dumbass...

For any one that has somthing bad to say about these two great guys i have something to say. How many times as a kid were you told "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all." Our prayers and thoughts are with these two and their families. We hope for a good recovery for the both of them. Donations will be being accepted this weekend at Waco on friday night and Devils Bowl on Saturday night. The races just won't be the same without these two there.
