the powers that be cant even figure out if a tire has been doped (inconclusive results my ass.....just freakin smell it!) and you expect them to find traction control?

its being used......but what if they find it? do you think they would make an example out of swindell, or schatz, or kinser or (fill in any name here)?? i highly doubt it. ruin the reputation of a legend?

and what if they found it in one of the "lesser name" drivers? wouldnt that just lead to speculation that if a smaller, less funded team is using it, the top guys must be as well.

send out the box to MSD?? then what? you think they are gonna say..."oh, yeah, we just found TC in so and so's box....that aint gonna happen either.....

bottom line.....its being sold and used.....and i would bet almost anything that it wont be found unless they want it to.

yeah - you gotta love science...no matter what you use to treat the tire, just soak it in skunk p!ss to distract them with the smell!

what you have is not traction control, although i am not sure that was what you were implying. from what you say you have to manually switch the timing control. there are quite a few people running what you are running. it is not illegal.

you can in fact have "traction control" without a crank trigger. the electronic devise that is, most often from what i know, mounted in the ignition box senses the rapid rpm rise and retards the ignition automatically to control rpm, thus controlling wheel spin. most series that i am aware of would call that illegal.

Once you know-it-alls have finished tech'ing the mag, you can then start on the units that apply rear brake and those that reduce throttle.

Have fun tech'ing the mag though ... you've solved about 1/3 of the problem.

Now I am going to put a blue wire and a red wire inside my MSD box so I can have TC too,it is hilarious what some people will bite on,whether its words or popsicles there are people out there that swear its used everyday in Nascar,so I guess it is the real deal, just ask anyone who is anti-Hendrick,Roush,JGR,and any other top 15 team and they will swear they use it. Now I got to get that NOS fitting back in my firesuit leg so I can run the bottle again, yahoo we are flying now.

put the NO2 bottle in the dead tube on the steering box........and hire a good fuel guy that can mix rocket fuel based on what tests the track uses for their fuel check....and spray straight nitro or propylene oxide on the inside of the air filters for time trials.....and lets not forget the infamous moth balls in the tail tank....or preloading the fuel lines.....ect, ect, ect.

a while back, a late model driver got busted for having JUST the harness for TC on his dash. he said that he did have it hooked up for a test and tune but is wasnt on the car that night.....he still got his ass handed to him.....perhaps just to make an example as if to say..."see, we are serious and we better not ever catch you guys with this shit"

ive heard it in use and have seen the boxes going back as far as 7-8 years ago. its there, but they dont want to find it.

back to the original topic....sammy, as usual, is screwing with everyone's head.....he is, besides karl kinser, the grand master at it.....want proof? read this thread

Way back I asked for an explanation of TC & got a good answer. But now it occurs to me that since sprints have "locked" rear axles (right?) no differential, how can you send more power to one rear tire than the other? Help me out here....

Its not about more or less power to one rear wheel. TC governs your rpm so there is less tire spin = more traction.

I think, dialing in the shocks to control traction...

I think you are right speedracer14. I thought Sammy was referring to shock adjustment as traction control. At least it sounded like that as I listened to the interview.
