Saw where Tyler Swank is out at SMR at the end of the season.  Wonder where he will go and who will be the next crew chief?

Tyler Swank to Baughman Reutzel Motorsports ....

Figured we would hear who is going to be in the CJB car by now.  Always get curious this time of year  as to what next season will bring.

I was trying to get some info in the pits yesterday at the Port but really nothing about the 5 car.

This thread should be called "Fans Speculate About Sprint Car Musical Chairs"

You guys wouldn't know "silly" if it bit you in the ass...

THIS is silly! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmScynxUaa8

I'm with you.  I read these posts when I check in every few days but I don't care who drives which car.  Next summer I'll show up at the pit gate and find out those details.

Been a known fact for how long that the Pete Grove #70 usually does not stay out all year. But he did have 2 that ran pretty much all 2019 !!! Seems to me a driver a couple years ago actually put in work on the car & ended up not getting to drive it. Roger Crockett I do believe.

DAVE ran the 70 car out of his shop, in North Carolina and did all the work himself....if not for Dave doing everything, that car would;ve been gone before the end of 2018.

Brock had financial support up until Ohio Speedweek...when people showed up to take a motor that was in the car because bills hadn;t been paid. They swapped it out, but that was pretty much the end of that deal. They only kept the number for All Star points reasons. The real only thing that was provided was the trailer, and that was sold to a team in PA towards the end of the year and everything was Brock's then.

I think they stay out the whole year recently, just seems like it is a 1yr deal for the most part. 2016 they ran the whole All Star seaon with Holtgraver (minus a could for injury) and won a few races, I think they ran a couple races in 2017 local??? Not too sure about that as I only seem to remember Macedo winning a race at Attica in the car and that was the only time a saw it and the Knoxville Nationals that year with Jeff Swindell & Clint Garner. 2018 they had Dave Blaney the whole year. Not sure what driver put the work in and didn't driver it but I was shocked to see them running 2 cars this year but not sure as far as how much ownership each person had in the deals.

Not fake news...I can guarantee this to be true 1000%. Halfway through Ohio Speedweek in Ohio, right after warmups.

Right, it did happen during speedweek at Wayne County.  The motor was pulled from the car, but not for non payment, but because they were not suppose to be running that motor.  It was then carried to the 70x trailer, which was the other Grove car.

I googled but couldn't find the WoO points fund for the season. Does anyone know it or have a link? Just wondering how lucrative it is to hold dome drivers back from skipping a regular show for a big paying non sanctioned event.

It’s $150k to the champ and about $600k in total. Add that and the tow money and the free pit passes and even for the teams that aren’t elite you’re looking at good money.

Its around $30k to finish 10th in Outlaw points plus say around $500 tow money per race at 70 races is another $35k. Add the savings of say 3 pit passes for 70 races that’s another $10k in savings. Altogether that’s $75k, obviously more for the teams higher in points.

To give all that up to race elsewhere a few times a year when you have downtime would be dumb.

Plus add in other contingencies each race throughout the season. I remember they used to list them out on the results page on their old website but since I got dirtvision, I really do not go on the site that much anymore for results information. They used to have things like a Hoosier racing tire gift certificates, and various other awards from other manufacturers from what I remember. In the past, I remember the point fund looking a lot like the Knoxville Nationals A-Main purse for the top 10 but not 100% match.

That's is good money. 5th in Woo may pay more than 1st in All Stars , if the Stars only get year end cash.

Thanks for the answers guys.

All Stars get tow money & contingency awards each race & at the end of the year as well. Lower amount but more than they used to since Stewart took over. Point fund, awards, and tow money have increased over the years.
