We haven't heard from the Ohio guys yet... they seem to be getting the best cars counts

Is 4 Crown this weekend? Thats a true extravaganza... WoO, Allstars, Usac midgets , sprints & Silver Crown. the one time I went Tony had the track worked for damn near 2 hours after qualifying. I kept falling asleep during the last race, SC feature. Every time I woke up Chris Windom was still ahead, so i wisely decided to leave rather than fall asleep at the wheel. But i'd go again in a minute, if i could!

4 Crown is next weekend

Anyone within striking distance should go

Can you imagine how cool it must have been to see young Larson sweep the thing a few years ago? I'm guessing somebody on here was there (or would that be (Indiana Open Wheel?)

I was there that year too and felt the sameway. We didnt get back home till about 4:30am and that was leaving prior to the Silver Crown race. I haven't gone back to that race specifically because I started taking my son to the races the following year. Felt it might be a little too much for him to stay awake that whole time. My buddy went back last year and said while it still is a late night it was better than that first year with the All Star guys, so this year most likely we will be attending.

On 81?

Thats what I take

Yeh, 81 and 84 in NY. Always enjoy reading your comments. Admire anyone willing to drive that far to see sprint car racing. Guess I’m spoiled living 5 min from the Grove, 20 min to BAPS, 35 to Lincoln, and an hour to Port and Selinsgrove!

Every year after the May WoO/USAC weekend I tell myself I won't go to another wingless race at Eldora but once again I'll be going next weekend. On Friday WoO will be awesome as usual. Without the All-Stars running I probably wouldn't bother to stay for Saturday. I'm sure it'll be a sandbox as we watch 3 divisions of wingless cars get 6+ laps in each hot lap session. Anybody know why this is the case? WoO typically goes GWC in their hotlap sessions but it seems like wingless cars get wayyyyy more laps. Just seems unnecessary when that many cars are on tap.

Wingless sprints usually put on great heat races then a snoozer of a feature. Courtney will probably win by 5 seconds. But the midgets are great at Eldora and its a shame they only race there once a year. I keep saying I wish theyd run midgets as a support series during Kings Royal weekend.

Thanks Railfan. An old buddy & his wife showed up this weekend (haven't seen them in at last 5 yrs, we hitch hiked East Coast to California & back together, 1969) , & it was my Mom's 97th birthday Friday, so I'm missing Dirt Classic.
Maybe National Open....
