Sorry, but that Goodyear to Hoosier theory is just, well, garbage. You don't honestly believe that Sammy Swindell - great driver, crew chief, mechanic, and team manager - as "all around" as they ever will be - is brought down by a change in tire brands, do you? He saw more tire brand changes in his career than all but a very few - if anybody.
It wasn't the Hoosiers, the mojo was lost.
That's my point on the #57 - it's good stuff, good crew chief, good drivers, and has the mojo.Maybe that mojo is a by-product of having all the good stuff but you still can't buy it.
Case in point: Fast Fred Rahmer in the CJB car - had everything but the mojo. The next year had everything - including the mojo.
